I’ve been to a few bridal showers and every time the bride was in a white sun dress or casual white dress. Is it traditional to wear a white dress during your bridal shower as the bride? Just wondering what you all think! Thanks!

I wore an ivory lace dress for my “bridal” shower and a teal one for our couples shower.

My bridal shower is this weekend, and I’m wearing a white dress. It’s not really a “sundress,” but it’s a cute white dress with a bell skirt. It just makes it easier for people to establish who the bride is a lot of the time, because sometimes you’ll have friends of your parents there, or waitstaff who need to know who’s who for stuff.

I liked the idea of wearing a white dress to bridal-related events (bridal shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner) because I normally would never wear white, especially white dresses
This is what I wore to my bridal shower:

I wore a white lace romper since my bridal shower was in July! Honestly, it was fun for or me to pick out a bunch of cute LWD’s and rompers for pre-wedding activities like the bachelorette, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and for our honeymoon! Really anything you feel pretty in 🙂

I dont think it’s tradition or is mandatory. I will be wearing an ivory tulle skirt and a top I havent decided on yet. I wanted to look a little bridal, just for fun. I also plan to wear it for my bachelorette!
However my Maid/Matron of Honor is also getting married this year and she is wearing an emerald green dress for her shower. So really, you can wear whatever makes you happy!

I bought a simple white dress on Lulu’s for $60 – it was the best $60 I ever spent! I loved it and I got so many compliments 🙂

I’m going to look for a white dress for my shower, but if I find something I really like in another color, I’ll wear it.

I wore a very light blush skater style dress with floral heels. I like the idea of white or light colors for pre wedding events.

I had 2 showers and for the first one I wore a white jumpsuit (which I also wore to my rehearsal dinner and to dinner on our mini-moon) and for the second I just wore a dress I liked. It was really just an excuse for me to buy the boots. I love those booties!! My showers were in the winter so I had to wear warmer clothes!

I thought about wearing an ivory dress I have, but I decided on a floral red maxi dress that is much more flattering on me. I’m not wearing red for my Hindu wedding, so I figure this is my chance. 😉

It is not mandatory to wear white, but many do.
If you find one, great! But any nice dress will do – basically what you would wear as a guest. This is not from my bridal shower, but this is the dress i wore. Pink tulle on the bottom and it was less than $20 from Ross!

I wore white/ivory/blush to wedding related events. But I’m a fan of those colors, so I seized the opportunities. I didn’t quite have a shower, but I had a bridal tea. I wore this dress by Needle & Thread (the details are insane):

I think you can wear whatever you want! If its white, great. If not, thata okay too! I think it’s more important to wear something you love and feel comfortable in. I wore a white dress, but mostly because it had a very fun/vacation feel since u had a Destination Wedding. And I just fell in love with it when I saw it 🙂
