I wore this floor length sequin gown (the photo is not from the surprise proposal), but indeed the night of this photo (our first New Years Eve) I was also hoping he would do it:
He didn’t do it then but for the actual proposal several months later I wore the dress again (not knowing he would pop the question that night but obviously being prepped for an elegant dinner):
The proposal was a surprise during holiday but I had been hoping for months and months and the night before the proposal I wore the below, also in the hope he would propose and/or to put the white lace bridal feeling in his mind (oh yes, that was a serious thought at the time):

I knew he was going to propose, but I also knew that San Francisco near the ocean (where he proposed) after the sun starts setting is very chilly. I was in jeans, boots, long sleeved black shirt, sweater, Aztec print cardigan, and I was wrapped in a fleece blanket! 😅 I was still shivering, my nose was running, and I woke up the next day with a cold. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about it though.

A bathing suit/cover-up. I looked like a wreck because I had just come out of the bathhouse but I had forgotten my comb and shampoo. (Very curly hair) So my hair was all over the place and I still hadn’t managed to get the sand off me and there he was with the ring. I obviously wasn’t expecting it at all.

Tank top and Grinch pj bottoms. I wasn’t awake for very long and I was just spending time with him before he had to head out for work.

I was in workout clothes that I hadn’t washed in like 10 days… Which didn’t matter because there was a torrential downpour while we were hiking and we were soaked through. Not my most glamorous moment.

mine wasn’t planned at all, husband asked completely spontaneously. He didn’t know he was going to propose until he did. We were still in bed and I wasn’t dressed yet! He proposed again with my ring, and that’s the story I tell people. lol 🙂

I wore this Kate Spade dress:
And these heels:
I was actually wearing leggings and an oversized sweater when he proposed, but he brought the outfit above for me to change into for dinner afterwards.

I had on a loose sweater, black bandage skirt, black tights and black wedge booties. I thought we were on our way to a cocktail bar! It was March in NYC so I was wearing a jacket throughout the proposal. When the hidden photographer “popped” out, I took off my jacket and put down my purse for some nicer looking photos haha!

We had a day trip into NYC in mid-December. I pretty much knew it was happening because he is terrible at keeping secrets from me. I tried so hard to not think about it as I wanted to be surprised. It was wayyy too cold that day to think of wearing something cute. I had on skinny jeans and knee high boots with a casual short sleeve top, long sweater, and my big old winter coat! I wanted to wear a cute big cozy warm sweater with a scarf, which is doable in early winter in NYC, but it was the coldest day in December, so there went that “cute” idea!

He proposed on our trip to Romania, we were on a tour visiting Dracula’s Castle (Bran Castle), it was hot as hell, I chose to wear a gray tank bodycon dress, I had my backpack on and my canon 60D hanging on my neck, I remember I was sweating like crazy, and you can even tell in the video of the proposal (so embarrassing lol)

I was wearing my work clothes. he met me after work that day and bought me my favourite pasty for lunch (I didnt know at the time that he’d picked up my ring just before meeting me) and got down on one knee in the park whilst I was eating my lunch (it was such a suprise):)

Grey cords, creased white shirt and grey coat. It was November in London and a total surprise so I wasn’t dressed up. It didn’t matter a jot.
