What does/did your 40pp menu look like?

Everyone’s menu sounds so good, and now I’m hungry!! Our catering came out to exactly $40pp, and we are in Portland.

Cocktail hour:


Fresh fruit

Braised short ribs

Bacon wrapped scallops

Crab cakes

Dinner Buffet:


Salad (with berries, nuts, cheese, etc.)

Herb roasted pork loin

Teriyaki tri tip

Garlic mashed potatoes

Roasted asparagus

We only have one vegetarian, so we aren’t doing a veg. buffet choice, but they will make a separate veg entree for her.

At this place, their vodka sauce is amazing! and the fact that they were willing to do gluten free options for me and my sister sealed the deal. 🙂

bibliophilacticbee :  I’m thinking of those like me who would never touch a fried chicken dish or the gravy usually attatched to it. Plus depending on the breeding others may be allergic.

We are getting married at a historic manor just outside of the NOVA/DC area. For $38.75 pp we are having:

Hors d’oeuvres- spanikopitas, herbee beef and capered cream cheese on crostinis and a cheese and crackers and display

Dinner stations- spinach salad, chicken parmesan and herbed beef with au ju, blackened seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes

Plus the venue’s pastry chef is making my cake (included in venue price along with a DJ and photographer).
