- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
We went home and my Maid/Matron of Honor threw an ‘English Tea’ for us, the wedding party and parents. We had tea, cookies and cute little sandwiches while we opened our gifts. It was very low key and good 🙂

the night of the wedding we went home, unpacked our car, and went to sleep. The next day we got up, showered, and got ready. My mom delivered our gifts to us. Then I opened up cards while DH and mom took all our flower stuff back to our florist. We finished packing. DH till a nap while mom and I ran a few errands. Then mom took us to the airport at 4 pm so we could fly out for our honeymoon. Sooooo boring, lol.
I convinced Mother-In-Law that we didn’t need a morning after brunch. (Unless she was paying).

We’re leaving off for honeymoon Monday morning so we’re having a brunch with all our guests at the hotel including a late checkout, then heading to my parents house with all our family (we’ve got quite travelling from different countries) and we’re having lots of food and vodka (don’t judge, a Polish thing we do) 😂

We are doing brunch and then going on a hike 🙂

We stayed at a hotel in town the night of the wedding, went to church the next morning, then back home to pack for our mini honeymoon

Our plan is to have a beach weekend where we just so happen to get married with my family. Since the weekend is going to be super relaxed the day after getting married we plan to sleep in, grab brunch and hit the beach for a day of relaxation with the family. A peaceful relaxed weekend.

We had a morning-after brunch, where we showed up for like 30 minutes before we had to leave for the airport for our honeymoon…then spent most of the day sitting in the BA lounge at JFK airport and on a plane, lol. The morning brunch wasn’t awkward, but then again I’m pretty sure no one was thinking about whether or not we had sex on our wedding night.

We had breakfast at the hotel, went into the pool for a bit, then showered and got ready. We checkED out of our room and went to DH’s parent’s place for a gift opening and luncheon. Then we went home and a few of our out of town guests came over to see our home as we had just moved in after an eight-month renovation. Then we had supper, went to say goodbye to guests, and spent a few hours at my parents opening cards and visiting with my cousins. Then we went to sleep!

I said no to brunch because there isn’t a real honeymoon and we want all the alone time we can get! We will spend plenty of time with people the day before the wedding. Though, maybe I’d feel differently if my mother and I got along…or rather, if my mother got along with anyone. :/ Do whatever you like and don’t feel guilty about it! Also, don’t avoid the brunch if it’s just because of the “sexy time” the night before. Nobody will be thinking about that, promise!
