I am failing miserably at finding something to wear to get ready for the wedding. Both my girls have expressed that they do NOT want robes, and Maid/Matron of Honor already has a button down monogram shirt from another wedding she was in, so I’m trying to find something different but that is also practical and looks cute for pictures.
So… what did you wear or what are you planning to wear? Pictures would be wonderful!

We are just going to wear whatever we want – no matching outfits.

I wore my favorite pair of grey sweat pants and my favorite tank top. My bridesmaids also wore sweat pants and zip up shirts so they wouldn’t mess up their hair. I thought we all looked pretty cute in just comfy clothes
edit: I love the fact that we didn’t all match and that we looked like we were having a sleep over in junior high lol 🙂

Normal clothes. Seriously no one wants to wear a matchy-matchy outfit. Wear normal clothes — the pictures will be cute no matter what.

I agree with everyone else! I bought a personalized Mrs. robe for myself and my Maid/Matron of Honor actually requested that she wanted a Maid/Matron of Honor tank top, so I bought her one. But I told the rest of the bridesmaids to just wear cute/comfy pajamas!

We are all going to wear black yoga pants (because we all LOVE THEM). We definitely want to go the comfy route. I am more so concerned about what to wear that won’t mess up my hair haha. Even if the girls don’t want to wear something “matching” and wear whatever they want, I would still want to get something for myself that says bride on it so any suggestions for that would help!

I just saw a nifty idea of doing like, flannel pants. So the colors could be your colors, and it looks like you can get ones with like “bridesmaid” or “maid of honor” on them, which is different and more useful than robes, at least to me.

i’m getting Pretty Plum Sugar floral shortie sets for the girls (button down tee and shorts). i also don’t like robes. pretty plum sugar also has rompers, and long pajama pants (and if you have girls who DO want robes, you could get them robes – so basically mix and match)

I am considering those too. We are all fans of the comfy pants idea haha so I don’t think they’d be opposed to that. Not sure if they would want them with bridesmaid and Maid/Matron of Honor on though. But even if no they’d be cute! If we end up in yoga pants I might just have them wear a plain tshirt of whatever style they choose and then get myself a bride tshirt.
I looove those. Bridesmaid and Maid/Matron of Honor would not be caught dead in something like that haha. Which is totally fine. I might have to check out the pajama pants option though!
I really liked these tshirt ideas if I were to get something “matchy”:
I plan on talking to the girls again to see what they’d prefer. I only have a bridesmaid and Maid/Matron of Honor so it wouldn’t be a huge group of us. I’d like us to have at least SOMETHING that says we are getting ready for a wedding, whether it is a tshirt or similar styled outfits of our own clothes. Something a little special haha. And I know they’d wear shirts like this again around the house so they’d be put to use again

I wore black leggings and a Mrs. T-shirt while I got my hair and makeup done. I didn’t have a bridal party, so I didn’t feel the need to have a matching outfit with anyone. I saw these super cute tank tops with bows on the back for bridal parties on Etsy, and someone posted about them on here:
I would buy a shirt in this style to wear because I think it’s super cute!

I love it!! Totally my style. I’ll definitely be looking into that! If not for the day of- I want one for the honeymoon!

I’m using these bow back shirts 🙂 They haven’t come in yet, but can’t wait to see them!
The girls will be in light pink shirts with a white bow back. I decided to go with no wording so they may be able to wear them again. I’ll be in the bride shirt.
I was thinking about cute robes, but we are getting ready at the venue in the bridal suite. While they wait to get ready/ hair/makeup they are able to hang out or help me set up they venue (their choice) and I figured they wouldn’t want to walk around/set up in a robe.
I also am putting those bra converters in their gift to go with the shirt.

My Fiance and I are getting ready together in the morning and will just wear what we typically wear to get ready: I have a Pretty Plum Sugar robe I wear daily, and he’ll wear his PJ pants and a white tee. Interestingly, our “outfits” actually do color coordinate, but that wasn’t planned!

that is so cute!! Love that idea – and love that you color coordinate even more!
yes! Another bee just posted similar tanks and I love them! Love the idea of getting plain tanks for the girls too. And we will be getting ready and then driving to the venue, so we definitely need pants haha. I don’t wanna walk around a salon in a robe lol
