He wantd lightswitches and underwear, we are such an old married couple! To be fair it is very nice, luxery undies (better be good at $40 each) and smart switches to go with his Echo. You say “Alexa, turn on the bedroom light”, and it does and smart USB that make electronics voice command through the Echo. I asked for a nice jewelery box and pearl earrings and necklace. A few other fun things are there too.

My SO got me a Kay jeweler open hearts key necklace and bath & body works set. I got my SO a pair of adidas combat boots, a German army flecktarn military rucksack, 2 workout t-shirts, Versace cologne, and a stocking full of: caffinated shaving cream, razors, chocolate and mints, a protein shake, and a few other things I can’t remember. I tried to spoil him since his birthday is the Monday after Christmas, I just gave him all his gifts on Christmas Eve. Also since he is leaving for the military sometime next year, we may not have another Christmas together for awhile.

We bought a house!  Our Forever Home, actually.

Under the tree, dh got a nice Buxton wallet & a new home weather station (he’s a weather bug) for the new house.

For me there was a new GPS, a new Galaxy phone–the gold one & a subscription to HGTV magazine.

We also had the opportunity to see the Moscow Ballet perform the Nutcracker Suite.

So, it has been a wonderful Christmas.

We opened last night, usually we do stockings. This year we did a mix.

I got him bags full of candy (what he wants every holiday), 2 new pairs of chef shoes, little things like new tongs, carrot curler, and gloves he can text with. You can guess my fiancé’s career 😜

So my gift this year was a $500 shopping spree, a stocking + bag full of my favorite Asian gummy candies, and he is rebuying my extensive book collection that I lost a couple of years ago during a move.

It’s been a rough holiday season but loving each other is always the best.

thelegojedi:  I don’t know what he got me yet, but I took him to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. He’s an NFL fanatic (go Ravens!), and has always wanted to go. We came to visit my family in Ohio for the week, and the HOF is only about 90 mins away from my parents’ house. So I took him Wednesday morning. He loved it! Me, not so much lol. But I went along with it for him. Here’s a pic of us there. See the pure joy on his face:

thelegojedi:  I got him a official fallout 4 jacket (after his old one is all knackered), a nerdy card game, veronica mars box set (been so excited to have it and see the movie), a special 3ds case, a book, chocolate, fallout tshirt…etc… Loads of bits he loves and has long wanted. So I got loads of smaller items he’d love instead of one big one.

My fiancé got me a ps4 with games! 😁. With chocolate and bits and pieces, little owl items. Was amazing and a surprise, love him.

I got him an attachment for his Kitchenaid mixer.  He’s a kitchen gadget guy.  And I got him a coffee table book on the history of Porsche.  Kitchen stuff and Porsche stuff are always happily accepted!

I got a plush robe from him and a subscription to XM radio for my car.

He couldn’t think of anything I wanted (which I had already told him was mugs and a bathrobe, lol) so he bought me new pajamas and slippers, which actually were needed as well, so good job there.  He also got us a wooden cutting board to share.  I think that was on a whim.

I got him a book on composting, another on companion gardening and a tshirt in a design he made but never got around to actually purchasing.

Also our stove crapped out, so we got one of those as well.  Not really a Christmas present, but it did arrive the day we did Xmas (20th, then took off to visit our respective parents), so what the hey, let’s count it!

We agreed to no presents, but I still got him a couple small items and made a scavenger hunt for him to make it fun. He loved it 🙂 It’s been a good Christmas so far! I think I like giving gifts better than getting them, haha

He got me a vintage fox stole and I got him a rare book! We usually go more crazy with each other for christmas and do lots of little things too, but are trying to hold back this year because of wedding expenses.

thelegojedi:  And a ring?!

I got a ring too but it hasn’t quite arrived yet! He got me some books on women in justice too.

I got him lots of different ales (24) with a fancy tasting glass, grown up slippers, a walking dead DVD and some little chocolate bits.
