What did you buy for baby #2?

We planned on two close in age and purchased a double stroller, otherwise I would be investing in that. I think we may end up needing a second high chair and crib. Probably fill in some gaps clotheswise since they are not born same time of the year.

Baby book (if you do that). A lovie or some cuddly toy and a blanket that uniquely belongs to the new baby.

Probably unique to me, but I want the two kiddos to share a room and use the extra bedroom as a playroom (it is much harder to climate control and probably wont be a great option until maybe middle school or so). Therefore I need to invest in some good organizational stuff for the closets in both the rooms as I don’t want to take up too much space with dressers.

I’m tapped! Babies really don’t need very much stuff. I’m hoping for my sanity that this child will be ok with a baby carrier and might buy a second one of those if the Tula ends up getting a lot of use.

Very little!  We needed a second crib, but besides that – monitors, baby book, an infant bath seat so we could bathe kids together in the big tub.  We had 2 girls, but born in different seasons so we unfortunately still needed a lot of clothes.  Will need to get another convertible car seat soon, but that’s about it!

We have a boy and are having a girl this time, so minus clothes, etc….

A monitor with two cameras so we can watch both

A second crib mattress because my son is moving to a big boy bed, but it uses a crib mattress

A second diaper genie and change pad

A nicer carrier bc the one I have isn’t great

That’s about it. We were going to get a double stroller, but my son is 2 and refuses to go in the stroller recently. I figure by the time baby gets here he’ll be 2.5 in Canada going into winter, so by next summer when he’s 3 and we’d actually really be outside I doubt we’ll need it.

double stroller (used), video monitor with two cameras, new crib (I disliked the old one and my first was still in it so I left her in it).  Ended up having to get new bottles but only after my second wouldn’t take my other ones.  Otherwise, not much else except some little things here and there.  I have opposite sex kids so I would have had to buy new clothes but I received a bunch of used clothing from a friend.  But now I still buy new/used clothes for both kids.  I got a new pump through insurance and used 2 pumps on maternity leave and took my favorite to work when I went back.  Stocked up on some extra pumping bottles and flanges so I could skip handwashing.  Eventually I bought more carseats but that was a year out.

The only thing we’ve bought for #2 so far has been a giant stuffed elephant (#1 got a giant stuffed dog and loves it).

We’ve bought a few things for #1 so that we can have her old things to use for #2: a twin mattress to use as a floor bed so that #2 can have the crib & crib mattress, and a booster seat so that she can sit at the table and we can have the highchair for #2. We may have to invest in more carseats at some point, but I’m not going to worry about that until it actually becomes a necessity. I think we’ll probably just end up buying things as we need them.

We’re holding off on buying a double stroller, hoping to get away without needing one. #1 isn’t a huge fan of riding in her stroller anyway.

I bought a baby book and a different crib set for baby #2, as well as wall decor. And that was it. Both my kids are the same gender.

We’re TTC #2 starting next month and don’t think we’ll need much!

Our stroller converts to a double (Uppababy Vista) and our colour was discontinued so we bought our second seat last winter to make sure the seats matched, so that’s already taken care of. We’ll buy a bassinet stand this time around though, we got by without it the first time. My plan is for our 15 month old to be in a big kid bed by the time #2 grows out of the bassinet, but if not then one of them will just sleep in the playpen until he is. Our monitor came with two cameras so that’s not a concern either.

We didn’t have a bucket seat the first time around and definitely will this time, so that will mean two new car seats for baby 2, but oh well haha. We also baby wear a lot so we’ll probably buy a second carrier so that Darling Husband and I can each wear a baby when we go out.

So far that’s all I can think of, but obviously when we actually get a bfp more things might come to mind.
