What did you buy your groom for his wedding gift?

We kind of had a set amount in mind and went off of that. I actually got Darling Husband a gun he’d been wanting and it was actually a bday/wedding gift combo. Then the rest of the amount was for gun accessories post-wedding that he wanted. DH 100% knew what he was getting, I just paid for it. I know it seems like an odd gift but I wanted it to be something he truly wanted.

Darling Husband got me a pair of diamond earrings. He wrote a nice note with them and had my SIL (who was a bridesmaid) give them to me while we were getting ready the morning of.

I guess it’s his wedding gift, more like a fun surprise. I paid for us to take a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon on our honeymoon!

We had a Destination Wedding, so our puppy couldn’t make the trip. I had a cardboard cutout of her staked out at our reception. It was a huge hit

We didn’t exchange gifts, just rings and our own vows before repeating the more traditional ones!

FutureMrsA2020 :  Thank you, I hope so! His parents are trying to convince us to drive with them to the Grand Canyon from Vegas so I’m having to be a brat and refuse but I can’t tell him why! (Besides the fact that I don’t want to spend that much time with my IL’s in a car ha!) and I don’t trust they may not accidentally spill the beans if I told them my plan.

tobeornottobe7 :  Oh ya I definitely can’t blame you on that one. I hope it all works out and good luck.

I’m planning to get him a really nice acoustic guitar (he’s a musician), and I want to have a classical guitarist play it during the ceremony if possible!

I got my ex husband a leather jewelry valet with his monogram. It was a really nice gift and he appreciated it.

We also skipped gifts. But I did get him antique gold cufflinks the xmas before our wedding that he wore on our wedding day. I think cufflinks/tie clip/monogrammed pocket square (or a pocket square in his family tartan?) would be nice things because he can use them at the wedding and always have them to remember the day. Electronics (like an apple watch) make less sense to me as sentimental gifts since in 50 years no one will still be using them.
