Nope mine wasn’t a surprise, because I basically planned it.  My sister/MOH was the anti-MOH, so I had to tell her what I wanted to do and remind her to make reservations.  Originally my Darling Husband had rented a beach house for a weekend for my girls & I, but we had to cancel that after my daddy got sick (I didn’t want to be away from him).  Anyway, for my Bachelorette Night, we went to this Drag Queen/Cabaret type resturaunt/lounge.  We hada nice dinner and saw some intersting performances. Then we just went from bar-to-bar and had an overall nice time.  I liked the attention I was getting from strangers, congratulating me =) I wore a bride sash and a veil =)

We went to Vegas for four days so it wasn’t a surprise but one night was like my “official” bachelorette night and the girls surprised me by decorating my room, playing a couple games, and  making me wear a tiara. Other than that lots of drinking and gambling.

@OhBeeHive84: Glad to hear I’m not the only one with a sister Maid/Matron of Honor that requires me to plan my own bachelorette.

Ditto on renting a house, We’re renting a mountain house for a weekend and just doing games and stuff. Maybe some dancing.

I really wanted to go to a drag show but the tickets are too expensive here, so I think the mountain house will get us more fun for our buck.

Mine was a surprise too. We went out for sushi, then to karaoke, and then bar-hopping. It was so much fun and a perfect bachelorette!

I basically planne mine, so guess what? It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. ๐Ÿ™‚

me and 5 of my GFs piled in FI’s mom’s van, and drove around the city. We had drinks at a cute bar, and then dinner at another nice restaurant, then went to a typical loud, suburbian bar, and drank more, came back to one of the girl’s house, opened presents (well, I did,) then had a sleepover. Great fun!

I’m helping my sister/giving her input on what I’d like, since she’s younger and there will likely be a LOT of people coming along. We’ll do dinner somewhere, maybe meet up with the guys for bowling or something, but my only request is that we get out and DANCE! I don’t drink much (like, 3 drinks and I’m done) so the dancing and getting down is my biggest wish. And I love food, so getting a nice dinner out is important too ๐Ÿ™‚

Other than than, please no penis hat/cookie/straw/doll/nametag/necklace/cake/pinata, etc. Lol.

Mine was dinner out at one of my favorite restraunts and then onto a private karaoke room then back to my friends place where we ate cupcakes in a certain shape and watched the movie bridesmaids then sleep. Pretty chill as far as bachelorette parties go, but fun times.

Mine was a surprise! I knew when we were going, but not where. Maid/Matron of Honor and I went and got a pedi in the afternoon. Then my Mum and her made some appies at my place and a couple of the rest of the girls came over and we snacked and drank. Had supper at Moxies, went bowling then ended the night at a pub where one of my best guy friends was waiting for us as my last surprise. Awesome night with everything I love to do and all my fav ladies (and guy! lol) Lots of shots included…

Ah, the Muff Diver… messy, but quite tasty!

I guess I had two.  The first one, we rented a house on Lake Michigan.  16 girls, 1 house and a surprisingly small amount of drama.  The second one was with my boys.  We went to dinner and then to boystown in Chicago.  Both parties were a blast!!!

My girls are organizing a Paint Party at this place called Tipsy Canvas. You bring in wine and apps and the instructors guide you through painting. Everyone leaves with their own painting as a favor.

It’s perfect for me, low-key and will let me bring mom and granny and then we can have a little crazier bar-hop adventure after painting!

Thanks, girls.

@bananejaune:Ha! Same with my Maid/Matron of Honor sister. In fact, she’s the only person standing up for me in my small family wedding. But my good friends that won’t be coming to the wedding took over and are planning a surprise of some kind.

My bachelorette was a total surprise.  I knew when, but nothing else.  And for me, that was rough because I’m a total control freak.  They told me I’d be staying overnight and would need to pack a bag, but still didn’t tell me until the night before what I’d need to bring.  So naturally I packed my entire closet.

I met a couple of my bridesmaids after work on a Friday, we drove to a luxury hotel in New Jersey where my little cousin met us.  We had a wonderful dinner, watched Bridesmaids in the hotel room and hung out.  In the morning my matron of honor and other friend joined us for massages at the spa followed by brunch by the indoor pool.  It was the most perfect bachelorette party and I couldn’t have asked for a better time with my girls.
