Did you write them youself, have them printed or hire a calligrapher? I’m leaning towards printing them with a calligraphy font on the computer. What do you think? And for any brides who did this, how long did it take you?

I had mine made, from an etsy seller. Calligraphery, first names only for each guest. I have a small guest count of 41 people, and its taken her about two weeks to complete them. She’s mailing them this upcoming week.

I bought card stock and printed them all at home. I’m tying them to old skeleton keys with a pink bow. (they are not my escort cards they are on the tables) kinda like this

We did kusudama flower place cards. Took absolutely forever, but EVERYONE, and I mean everyone was so in love with them, so much so that they took them home and are displaying them in their homes. Which is so awesome, because they were ALOT of work.

We hired a calligrapher for ours. It was a nice touch, and not all that expensive for our small group.

These are my daughter’s place cards. (the table number hasn’t been added yet). They will be arranged on a multitiered bed of greenery.

We’re just having a big board (I want to copy this:) which will direct people to their tables…
And then if we’re able to go ahead with the stationery company I’m keen to use, I’m going to get small bars of chocolate for each guest as a favour and print each guest name on the wrapper, hence doubling it as a place card!

Printed on the computer with a calligraphy font that we’d also used on all the stationary including addressing the envelopes. I have hideous handwriting and this way it looked neat and matched everything else. Bought placecard sheets from Staples, used their template + symbol that was in our invites, merged with excel name sheet, printed and folded – didn’t take much time at all.
…And you are talking about placecards not escort cards, right? I see some people are giving you their escort answer (seating charts, where they’ll sit, etc) versus placecards which are on the table itself.
