Magnets are very common, I don’t think it would look like copying THEM so much as the trend.

My fridge doesn’t stick with magnets (most/all stainless steel don’t). I just sent out paper ones since I knew they’d be getting trashed pretty quick lol.

I’ll be making my own, as I did for a friend. I used a 4X6 picture of them and printed the information on thin vellum paper. I attached the pic and vellum with ribbon, but I think I will use a simple brad to attach my own, as it’s much easier.

Magnets are very common, especially with a photo of the couple. However, they tend to get thrown out, as most people dont want it on their fridge long term or after the wedding. I’d reccomend saving some money and do a cheaper option. If people want it on their fridge, they’ll find a magnet for it.

We just did postcards from our destination.  Very simple, easy and cheap!

Magnets are common.   But as PPs have said, I also have a stainless steel fridge, so I wouldn’t have anything to stick it to, so it would go in a drawer or in the trash after i put the date in my calendar, but some people love them and save them.

I think magnets are common and seem nice, but honestly people generally have magnets to hold up a paper save the date. We did paper ones with rose gold foil that matched our invitations.

Magnets are common, so it wouldn’t look like you’re copying them unless you used the same design or something. But sometimes people will put it on their fridge with a magnet even if it’s not magnetic. I was happy when I went over to a friend’s this past Friday night, and they had just received the save the date that day and it was on their fridge! (With a magnet – mine weren’t magnetic, I used Minted and they were printed on paper.)

I would just do them on a postcard type material and size. A photo of you guys, or just the STD info.

I personally cant put magents on my fridge as its stainless teal, and after a couple months end up tossing them (unless theyre relaly nice ill put them in a shoe box for memories).

natasha0b :  Magnets are super cute if budget allows, but we cheaped out on ours and did paper postcards to save money. I wanted to spend the money more on other things than a STD that probably will be thrown away.

Magnets are extremely common and have been for several years.  I’d suggest saving your money, though – the magnet ones are more expensive (and probably require more expensive postage!) and a lot of people have refrigerators that a magnet won’t stick to, these days.

I did a magnet with our pictures… got it on sale so it was actually super cheap.

I still have my maid of honors std on my fridge from 5 years ago and a lot of my family has a magnetic fridge so it was an easy choice. Even if they toss them immediately,  it’s fine because they were cheap.

natasha0b :  Magnets are pretty common. I just sent mine electronically to all my friends and family because that’s how I communicate with them on a daily basis and that’s what made sense. I didn’t see a reason to go out of my way to add more environmental waste when there is a better alternative available.

We did credit card sized ones made from frosted plastic with silver foil lettering and came in a little black envelope. Something for peoples purses
