Ive been meaning to ask this for a while and was promoted by another thread.
I will be 30 next year and have no idea what to do, but would like to do something. We live away from our family and most cloae friends so organising something with everyone would be tricky.
Did you do anything special?

Haha I literally just posted about my husband’s 30th birthday. 🙂 I have two years yet but I will definitely want to do something special and fun. A friend of mine hosted her own fiesta for family and friends…complete with margarita machine! Maybe you could go on a special trip to somewhere that you have always wanted to go?

I turned 30 two weeks ago. My mom came over with Baskin Robbins ice cream cake (my fave) and her, myself and Fiance had dinner and cake together. Lol. That was it.

I’m 37, and have absolutely no idea what I did for my 30th. Probably dinner and drinks with friends. My 21st birthday is the only one I really remember (most of it anyway)

My 30th (and his 32nd) is in August and he couldn’t take any days so a trip was out… So we’re having a fancy staycation in town for 3 nights in a Central Park view room at the Mandarin Oriental. Spa day for me while he works Friday (I’m gonna take a day for sure 🙂 ) dinner together out Thurs and Friday and then a dinner out with close friends > bar hopping Saturday night. I’m so excited!
My Mother-In-Law is taking me to pick a LV bag that weekend too, so yay.

I had a pretty terrible 30th. Do what makes you happy. A party, drinks, dinner, dancing, spa day…. You do you

We did a paint and wine thingy with my fiends.

I gambled at a casino and partied at a club like I was 21 again. my friends & Fiance surprised me with birthday champagne (which I drink the entire bottle), the whole club and DJ singing to me and some pretty girls carrying big happy birthday signs LOL, I was pretty drunk at this point and hadnt been out partying like this in probably 5 years

I rented an awesome cabin with some friends with a firepit, zip line and glamping tents and we just drank, ate and partied for a few days. Do what makes you happy!

We went on a last minute weekend getaway because our house was on the market. Coincidentally, it was around the time of my 30th birthday. Since you live far from friends and family, a trip could be fun for you too.

I went to my annual birthday Red Sox game with my best guy friend and we went out to a bar or two afterward. That was it. I’d hoped to do something a bit more meaningful or special, but I was just in sort of a bad place. This past birthday (last weekend; 32) more than made up for it. 🙂

I went to French Laundry with some good friends. One of the best weekends of my life!

For a variety of reasons, we couldn’t celebrate the weekend of my brithday. The following week we decided to hike a mountain that was always very special to me as my birthday pick, and my SO proposed at the top! Then two days later I successfully defended my dissertation for my PhD. So… it was fairly eventful and lots and lots and lots to celebrate!

For my 30th my mom and I went to Maui for a week. On my birthday we drove up Mr Haleakala and hiked around. 🙂 It was amazing.
