We went on a happy hour boat cruise, out to dinner and then out to the bars.  It was fun 🙂

I didn’t want one, but then was convinced to do a hot tub party.

For $30 each, we went to a spa, had hot tubs, snacks, saunas and a massage chair.   It was private and we were allowed to drink wine there.   We were there for about 2 hours or so, which was perfect the week of the wedding.  About 12 of us went.

I wasn’t into having a big party since I’m older (30s) and those days are behind all of us now that we have kids.

We’re doing a spa party for mine.  (FI is going fishing with his friends for his haha)  I really don’t want to have some big crazy party.  I got all my partying out in college and I really want it to be a time that I can hang out with my girls and get a massage and just relax.  I will recommend though that none of you get facials or peels or any treatments like those for a few weeks before your wedding!

@nephthysa:  That is the craziest thing I have seen.  But maybe I just need to get out more!

Mine is in a couple weeks so it hasn’t happened yet, but we are going on a dinner cruise on Lake Minnetonka (a large lake here in Minneapolis).  It will be from 6-9, so we figured after we would just go somwhere for drinks.  I am excited for a relaxing party because this wedding planning makes me a busy lady!

I don’t know what area you live in, but where I live we have shops that allow you to create your own art. Examples: A bead shop where you and your girls make earrings or something for the big day. Or a paint your own pottery studio where everyone paints a dish or something for your new home. Or I have even seen places where you learn how to paint and have cocktails during it. I am definitely going to do something hands on and crafty like that for mine!

My Maid/Matron of Honor was talking to me and we are making it an all day thing… renting a hotel, having a lingerie party with appetizers and drinks, then having a passion party, then going to dinner, and maybe a bar after, then back to the hotel and sleeping there 🙂

Maid/Matron of Honor and my closest ladies and I are traveling to Quebec city (6 hr drive) for the weekend as a girls getaway. staying at Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.  I am not a big drinker or partier…those days are long gone, so we thought this would be perfect to celebrate my bachelorette.
