Mine is in the planning stages, but next month we’re going to NightLife at the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park and staying in a hotel overnight. Then we’ll bum around the city the next day, doing SF things 🙂

  • Wedding: May 2013 - Pavilion overlooking golf course scenery, reception at banquet hall

We roadtripped to my/our college town. We started out at one of those places that lets you drink wine while everyone paints a picture with an instructor at the front. Then we went bar hopping at the strip of bars. Not terribly original but we had a blast 🙂

We were super low key because my friends and I are poor, and I’m not one to make a big fuss out of things anyways. It was just me and my three best friends. We went downtown and had coffee, then went to an ice skating rink for a couple hours. We went out for some AMAZING pizza. Then went back to the hotel and talked, played games, had wine and liquor. It was very low key but perfect for me.

Barbiestylez:  we went to Jamaica. It was sooo much fun. I also did something in the city here for those that couldn’t make Jamaica. We went to Tao and then to a popular waterside lounge (La Marina).

We got married the Sunday before Halloween. Since Halloween is my favorite day EVER, we all dressed up in Halloween costumes and went to a club, got hammered, and acted like complete idiots.. Even my mom and dad dressed up and came with us!

Barbiestylez:  My girls and I went to a really nice resort for two days. We rented an awesome villa on the water and spent the first day at the spa there. Then we had dinner that night at a nice restaraunt and just went back to the villa where much champagne and snacks were consumed.

My girls are my two sisters and Future Sister-In-Law and it is rare that we can all get together that like. It was so much fun!

We did a semi-joint bachelorette-bachelor party in the city where we live. I had some girls come in from out of town and we stayed at my MOH’s house (guys stayed in a hotel). Friday night we went to a wine bar while the guys went out clubbing.

The next day the girls went to brunch and basically just hung out around the city, and the guys did golf and paintball.

That evening they planned a limo scavenger hunt through the city. We each had hummer limos and we were competing against each other to see which group could get the most items checked off before we all met at a bar at the end of the night. All of the items on the scavenger hunt were things related to us (take a picture where we had our first kiss, in front of where we are getting married, find someone with the same name as your SO, take a shot at a bar that is friendly to the groom’s favorite baseball team, etc.), and it was AWESOME! so much fun! The girls won, of course, and we had fun partying together at the ending location. Fiance and I actually were kinda drunk and ended up going home together instead of back with the respective parties LOL!

The next day we all made brunch and hung out at MOH’s house together (we have lots of mutual friends so it wasn’t awkward or anything). We played Cards Against Humanity and people slowly trickled out to head home. It was perfect!

About 14 girls and I did a drawing class with a cute naked male model! There’s a company here in NY – the Artful Bachelorette – that we went with. It’s a bit pricey, but trying to organize such an event was proving really difficult without their help. They found the venue – where we were allowed to bring food, wine, cheese, dessert. I didn’t know what to expect, but we all had a blast!! It was really fun, creative, classy, sexy – we had a nice topless waiter and the woman who led the class was fantastic. They provide everyone with aprons and art suppllies. My friends really surprised me how creative they can be – although you don’t have to stress you are not “artistic” because the class ‘leader’ has you do some drawing exercises – only use your left hand, close your eyes, etc. The models sometimes got to choose their favorite drawings…it was so easygoing and different. Afterward we all walked to a club a few blocks away (we all came dolled up to the art class too) and danced and made friends with drag queens, etc. I didn’t want crazy, crazy partying or cheesy bachelorette rituals but wanted something really different to do with friends that I wouldn’t ever do for any other occasion, so this was perfect for me!

We did a joint/coed weekend camping trip with a bunch of mutual friends at a nearby reservoir / river. Hung out all weekend swimming, grilling, eating, drinking, playing yard games, sitting around the campfire, etc. We played a few rowdy bach games once we were all drunk. So fun, and totally our style!
