Hah! I broke a lot of rules while pregnant. I had soft serve, sushi, soda a few times a week, and mayonaisse based salads (which I didn’t even know were a no-no). Oh, and hot dogs and bacon. This sounds bad now that I read it, but I didn’t down these things all day, every day! I was healthy most of the time.

I disliked coffee and did not drink it during my ‘normal’ life. However, after being pregnant and morning sickness kicking in HIGH GEAR, I was unable to eat anything. I tried EVERYTHING that was suggested on many websites to curb this. Like ginger, eating smaller meals, eating less carbs, eating crackers before getting out of bed, gingerale, peppermint tea, etc. etc. You name it, I tried it.
The one and ONLYYYYYYYYYYY thing that worked was coffee. Some pregnant lady on some blog somewhere posted this comment that it allowed her the capability to eat whatever she wanted and she didn’t feel as sick anymore either throughout the day. I HAD to try it. And lo and behold, she was RIGHT!!!!
So I will have a cup a day. Sometimes two. It’s my pregnancy elixir.
