Hi, I need suggestions for whitening my smile. I haven’t used anything for that in years. Does anyone have suggestions?
Hi, I need suggestions for whitening my smile. I haven’t used anything for that in years. Does anyone have suggestions?
I used Rembrandt toothpaste. It tasted decent and helped to whiten my teeth a bit. Good Luck!
I got a whitening kit from my dentist. I’ve tried Crest Whitestrips before and they made my teeth really sensitive, so I stopped using them.
I’ve used Crest whitening strips before and they worked. Recently I had a mouthgard made and my dentist gave me whitening gel for free. Perks of being military I guess 🙂
I used mouthwash along with toothpaste that were both marketed for teeth whitening. Together they did a decent job, I think. I also tried the whitening strips (not at the same time haha… years ago) and it was too much at a time. It made my teeth very painfully sensitive… not a good time!!
I think the only real, permanent solution is to get teeth cosmetically bleached by a dentist, which is super expensive.
Rembrandt has whitening toothpaste and strips that work wonders (better than crest whitestrips though I think they work good, too) without making your teeth hurt.
I have whitening trys (moulds of my teeth) that I but whitening gel in from the dentist. I use it for one week and my teeth get really white. I also use a whitening toothpaste. I would check with the dentist for sure.
I used zoom at my dentists office ($500) not worth it in my opinion.
I also used Go Smile and that worked wonders.
I went to the dentist for a good cleaning a couple months before the wedding. Then I used Crest 3D toothpaste and mouthwash… they worked pretty well! I’ve used Crest Whitestrips in the past and they also made my teeth SUPER sensitive… I liked the way my teeth looked, but it wasn’t worth the way they FELT.
I did Zoom whitening. It worked like a charm. My teeth looked amazing…so white! But dude. IT HURT SO BAD!!!! I don’t think I would ever do it again. I’m talking like SHOOTING pains.
I used Crest Whitestrips, no sensitivity for me, noticeable difference.
i am a dental assistant and we always recommend crest white strips to try first and if that doesnt work for you we suggest getting impressions taken in our office. with the impressions we make models of your teeth and then make custom trays for your teeth. the advantage of this over crest strips is that they do not slide around. they are designed for your teeth only so fit the best. the syringes we give you with the material is prescription only so much stronger than the crest white strips. they can cause sensitivity but if that is the case than just use them every other day. u should see results within a day or two and you always have the trays and you can just get more bleaching syringe touch up kits. the bleaching should last over a year or more depending on how much coffee; wine, or smoking you do. for the trays and bleach material we charge two hundred fifty dollars so not bad but i am in iowa so dont know if its more in other areas.
i’m going to use crest professional whitestrips. they’re only sold in dentists offices (and much cheaper on amazon) and supposedly have the same effects as in-office treatments. they can cause super-sensitivity, so they recommend using every other day if that’s a problem for you (the directions say 30 minutes 2x day)
I was fitted for a custom tray at my dentist’s office, and he gave me a gel to use called Opalescene. I apply it every other day for about an hour or so and it works super well! You can really tell because the bottom part of my two front teeth are fillings so the top half are whiter than the bottom half. It’s not TOO obvious at the moment but I do plan on getting the fillings changed to match my new teeth colour in March when I got back for my cleaning.
There is a bit of mild sensitivity following the whitening but it only lasts a few hours and Sensodyne seems to help. The custom trays were pricey (I think $250-ish) but totally worth it, I think.
i love crest white strips! i have been using them once a year for the past 6 years and always get comments on how white they are! just sad that i cant use them now that have invisalign and these stupid attachments on my teeth!
