@graygodess20:  Okay so I haven’t done this yet (my shower is in a month) but I found this on pinterest awhile back and it’s what I plan to do! I don’t have all of the logistics worked out yet but I’m planning on making some kind of book out of it.

Trust me, I feel your pain. I’ve been married almost 8 months now and theyre still sitting in a basket… along with all my programs and other paper materials. I have no advice… but I’m interested in seeing the responses!!

I hadn’t even thought about this.

I honestly don’t keep any cards, I mean, I’ll have a wishing tree for them to write notes to us… so really don’t have a reason to keep the cards.

I’ll probably throw them away.

@AllShookUp:  I’m in your same boat (except married since Nov.).  They’re still sitting in a basket in our guest room b/c for some strange, silly reason I can’t bring myself to part with them, yet I have not clue what to do with them…lol.

I love the book idea, but I feel like we already have so many sentimental things from our wedding (shadow box, painting, framed pictures, etc.) that I don’t want to be a wedding obsessed pack rat but don’t want to regret not keeping things that were sentimental.  Ugh.

I put them in a manilla envelope, labeled them “bridal shower cards” and threw them into a memory box. I periodically kind of edit things from that box, but then at least I know I’ll have another chance to go through them.

@graygodess20:  My response felt really dumb after that other bee posted that cute DIY booklet made of cards. Now I think I’ll do that. But if I get any ugly cards, I’m recycling them lol.

I bought a card box that really is shaped like a box, with the intention of later using it to store all wedding related things…. like cards, program, a napkin/matchbox/menu, etc.

@MrsBeck:  I’ve heard about this. Very cool idea.

@AllShookUp:  I’ve been married almost four years, and mine are all still in a big, plastic storage bin. 🙂

@graygodess20:  I think I would have to remove the word “slight” in my case, when it comes to sentimental things such as this. I have kept not only all of my cards from my showers and wedding but also every note, card, letter etc. ever sent to me by anyone special to me for more than 25 years.  🙂
