I just got married this past Saturday and I had a silk bouquet which is displayed on an endtable in my living room in a basket a friend gave me.Bouquet Basket

I kept it at home for about a week. Threw it out when it started to get gross.

I gave my bouquet away at the wedding during an anniversary dance (gave it to the couple who had been married the longest).

I did make a Christmas ornament out of the shredded invitation though 🙂

I also had a silk bouquet, and I currently have it in our bedroom. I matched my bedroom accent colour to the flowers/wedding colour.

My bouquet of real flowers is sitting in preserving silica sand grains as we speak. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with them in the end though. I also had a fake flower bouquet, but I think it accidentally got left behind at the venue.

Married for a few months now and mine is still sitting in the guest room, being ugly. I really like the ornament idea!

I plan on doing the ornament idea. I saved some flowers from my SIL’s bouquet and dried them and put some of the rose petals and a few sprigs of baby’s breath and gave it as a Christmas gift and she thought it was so special! Unfortunately I didn’t space them out enough so some of the flowers molded, so DEF hang them loosely and spaced out and in a well ventilated area

Brought it home to my parents house (where I stayed after the wedding night on a Saturday but before we left for our honeymoon on Tuesday). Snapped a cute photo but then they were thrown away after I left.

I was thinking something like this but since I’m leaving the very next day for honeymoon, the flowers wouldn’t be fresh. Maybe my mom can mail it.

Our wedding was 3 days before my brother’s birthday and was in my parents’ backyard. It was our way of honoring him. We were leaving to go on a short honeymoon the weekend after our wedding so I couldn’t take my bouquet with me. On the day of my brother’s birthday, my mom and I took apart my bouquet and wove it into a wreath. Then we tossed it into the lake that my parents live on. My mom puts a bouquet of flowers from her yard into the lake every year on the anniversary of his death and on his birthday.

I had a silk flower and brooch bouquet so i totally could have kept it but I tossed it instead.. Our wedding was a beautiful day but I have my husband to remind me of that day and thats the best reminder ever. I’d rather have room around the house for new stuff we get together as a married couple.

I’ll be getting mine preserved in a shadow box/frame from a local florist!

I’m using silk flowers and if my bridesmaids don’t want to keep their bouquets, I’ll deconstruct them for shadowboxes that I am planning to make them as a thank-you.
