I’m interested in hearing what brides ate on their wedding day, not the reception dinner but during the day. I have to eat every 3-4 hours so I’ll need to eat lunch after I get my hair and makeup done that morning and have snacks for the rest of the day until the buffet dinner. I’m trying to think of food that will keep me full but not mess up my makeup, bloat me or cause issues. Granola bars are an obvious choice but some of them can cause bloating and stuff. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

We ordered pizza while getting ready.

I drank peach bellinis from 10am – 2pm, then hit up Panera Bread and got a pick 2 with half a bacon turkey bravo sandwich and a bowl of mac & cheese at around 2:30pm. LOL not sure what I was thinking, but damn it, I didn’t want to go hungry!

At my BFF’s wedding we had my DH (BF at the time) deliver us a pizza after we got back from the salon. We hadn’t really planned it well and were starving!
At my wedding we had sandwich trays from our favorite deli pre-ordered. DH picked them up and dropped one off to us girls and took one back with him and his guys. We’re close with the owners of the deli, and she made each of us our favorite sandwich (in addition to the ordered tray) because she knows exactly what we like! We started early with hair and makeup at my house, so I also had some breakfast foods, mimosas, snacks, etc.
At my friends wedding her Mother-In-Law hosted a brunch the morning of the wedding (for literally the whole damn town) at the venue – which is also where we were getting ready! We all just popped downstairs to grab food as hoards of people paraded in and out. :/ The downside is that we had an EARLY start for hair and makeup because there were 13 of us (yes!!!) so once we all arrived at like 7am and realized there wasn’t even coffee and no brunch until at least 10am a bunch of us left to run to the gas station for coffee & snacks.
My SIL was probably the least prepared. She did not prepare with snacks at all. She had a domestic Destination Wedding and we were all in a rental house. There was some food in the house just from what had been bought for the week – but definitely annoying to not have had food provided.

Yogurt parfait for breakfast, subs for lunch, champagne soaked gummy bears & champagne while getting ready, then our buffet dinner. I eat all the time & need to or I get migraines. That day was so busy I don’t really remember eating, I just know that I did.

I had breakfast – croissants with butter and jam. Later on, my step mum’s sister kindly arranged a spread for all of us. There were platters of fruit, finger sandwiches, cheese, dip and crackers/carrot sticks/celery, hot food (mini spring rolls and the like) and some antipasto. Myself and the bridesmaids found we were just grazing – we’d grab something to nibble on everytime we walked past the table. It kept us full, was all easy to eat with our fingers and wasn’t overly messy.

my bridesmaids rocked, they picked me up a bagel with cream cheese and cafe con leche before they picked me up to get ready. My mom got us a fruit and cheese platter and a fruit tray. We ordered pizza for lunch. My Future Sister-In-Law brought some champagne and I had that prior to the wedding.

We had orange juice (with or without champagne according to preference) and Mum made us toasted sandwiches.

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
For breakfast I had simple butter on toast.
My girls and I all went to seperate salons, but after we got ready we met up at a Starbucks central to our locations for a ‘brunch’…even though it was about 2:30ish. I had a Pumpkin Spice Latte and one of those bistro boxes.
We chilled there for about an hour, then went to the venue to get dress and do our staged ‘getting ready shots’ and chilled in the bridal suite until the ceremony started at 5pm.
Trust me, food was the LAST thing on my mind!

I had oatmeal at home in the early morning. Some champagne and fruit during the morning while getting ready in a hotel with girls. Then I had brought along a really filling smoothie from home (protein powder and peanut butter plus typical smoothie stuff, berries, milk etc) that I slurped down at 1pm when I got to the venue. the bridal party had iced coffees right before the 4:30 ceremony. 5:30 pm after the ceremony I ate appies at the reception (sliders, bruschetta) and then dinner at 7:30 which my wedding planner got for me from the buffet and forced me to sit down and eat – I really didn’t want to because I was having so much fun making the rounds!
