Our first dance will be to God Only Knows by the Beach Boys.  I want a line from that song engraved in his, probably “As long as there are stars above you”, but despite FI’s huge hands, that might not fit, in which case we’ll use “God Only Knows”.  Yes, we are both atheists, but its a common phrase and a line from our first dance song.

We are going to have “All of it” engraved in ours.  Its an inside joke that became tradition.  Whenever I say “Bay, how much do you love me?” He has always responded with “All of it”.  I initially hated that response, now I love it.

I think for wedding bands just initials and wedding date on both rings will be fine cuz it’s classic forever. And it exactly means a PAIR.

If you really like some phrase or sentence you could consider engrave that on your ering cuz it’s memorable and unique.

I love the idea of getting ‘Not born to love you’ but everyone I’ve mentioned it to thinks it sounds bad. It’s meant to mean that destiny isn’t what makes you love someone – it’s a choice, and something that you need to work at. I wasn’t born to love Fiance, but I choose to and I make that choice every day.

Still, people think it sounds negative, so it probably won’t happen. We’ll probably just get each other’s names in them, but I did have some awesome ideas.

– We love alice in wonderland, so I considered getting ‘A Very Important Date’ and then the date.

– I also adore this saying from the Last Unicorn which makes me think: ‘Listen. Don’t listen to me, listen.’ but it doesn’t really work.

We haven’t brought ours as we are a way off this stage, i like the idea of putting ‘spoilers darling’ with a soppy message…undecided. We are both HUGE Dr Who fans and think that’s a very good romance story-River song & the Doctor.

But then i’m a bit odd lol

@Quickiebee: “Happiness is a way of travel” (“…not a destination”, but that didn’t fit into our bands. Also, our resp. names.

I don’t have a wedding ring yet, and I think the ones I’m looking at may be too thin To be engraved. But for his I got “faith hope love” and the wedding date as a surprise. it’s the foundation of our relationship and marriage. he will probably only see it after the ceremony as his ring is also a surprise!
