What I enjoyed most was being surrounded by our most favorite people. We could have run off somewhere exotic, I could have planned a day where several important guests would not have been able to attend, etc. But we didn’t. Every decision we made was with the comfort and happiness of our guests in mind. So the venue had to have accomodations very close by, had to be handicap accessible, not be too crowded, and had to be plush. We wanted our guests to be pampered.

Second on our list was the look of the venue. I ruled out a lot of venues without ever setting foot in them because I could tell from the photos that they simply were not my style.

Once we narrowed it down to a short list,  we ultimately chose with our mouths. LOL The food and drinks were VERY important to us. We are known for our skills in the kitchen and our locovore tendencies, and we wanted our wedding food to be amazing.

What I enjoyed most was hearing the excellent comments about the venue and seeing almost every soul on the dance floor.

We eloped, so it just being us (very intimate) was what I enjoyed most. Other than that, I adored our venue and the photographer we had. She totally took advantage of the venue, property and some of the fun props I brought.

Thank you for starting that tread, my wedding is still to come but I can’t wait to read what people will write!

The most important part was probably our vows because I felt so amazing during that part of the ceremony.

If you’re trying to decide between 2 venues, go with the one with the better food!
