I would consider what you plan to use the pictures for. Are they just for your save the dates and website or do you want to use one for a Holiday card? Where are you planning to take the pictures? You want to pick colors that will give some contrast and make you and Fiance stand out from the background so for example green might not be the best idea if you’re going to be outside against grass and leafy green trees. Your photographer might be able to make some suggestions for colors to avoid. I think you should wear something in line with your usual style. A date night look and maybe a slightly more polished every day outfit. You’re about to get a whole lot of pictures of you in formal attire!

We had them taken in the Fall so I wore a sweater and jeans and he wore a button down shirt and jeans.

Following for inspiration! What season are you getting your photos done? We’re planning on doing ours in the fall and I was thinking of going for the cozy fall look of blanket scarf/oversized sweater/vest/hunter boots, with Fiance wearing jeans and his black half zip golf pullover.

ilspflz123 :

We did two looks, a very classic one (Black dress, black heels and pearls. White button up shirt, jeans and white sneakers). He is ALL about his sneakers, so i wanted him to be able to wear them. He also went and picked out new jeans, i just helped him choose his shirts.

2nd look : a dress i happened to find at ross the day before for $13! White lace and pink tule, white sandals and he just changed to a black long sleeve shirt and black sneakers.

We only did one outfit, but he had a jacket and I had a hat that were on/off in some pictures. I wanted to the color scheme to reflect our wedding colors, and the style is “us, but a tad fancier” (i.e. I don’t wear tulle skirts every day but it feels very “me”). Our photographer was SUPER helpful in helping us put things together (and so was the Bee – I had a whole thread about my outfit crisis lol) and I love how they turned out!
