I nearly packed up the whole house trying not to forget anything – it took 3 cars!

Out of everything, I think batteries came through the most. Our power went out and my bff was pumping at the time, so they almost considered leaving because she was so worried. AAs saved the day!

MrsBuesleBee:  We had a Destination Wedding overseas with no access to stores so it may be a little different:) Thank you cards and/or plain envelopes if you need to give cash to vendors for payment/tips, back up copies of any music to be used during ceremony/reception, comfy back up shoes in case you just can’t bear the thought of keeping your heels on no matter how gorgeous they are, alka seltzer in case of hangovers. Happy wedding day!

We forgot to order our rings in time to be able to pick them up from the jeweler and he had to fed ex them to Vegas.

Yaaaay!! That’s SO exciting!

Let’s see…we packed three bags total. One for each of us with normal stuff and a shared one with all of the wedding stuff. So the dress, his suit, shoes, shawl, vest, tie, flower crown, cake toppers, clutch, rings, bridal underwear and the Mr. And Mrs. signs went into that bag. Anyway, it really helped me make sure that I had everything!

Congratulations and I’m looking forward to seeing your recap if you do one!

I’m so glad I packed a handheld steamer- everything was a mass of wrinkles after being stuffed into a suitcase. Also, my husband and I thought to save money with just one checked bag between the two of us. Do not do this- our first married argument stemmed from our packing differences.

MrsBuesleBee: Do you have an Oh Shit! kit? I think this is good for any wedding, but especially if far from home. I always make these for my friends including: mini spray deodorant (no marks on dresses), blister block, bandaids, super glue (way more helpful than you’d think), bobby pins, hair spray, sunscreen, bug spray, mouth wash, scissors, needle and thread, tissues, baby wipes or the like, baby powder (great for spills or marks on white dresses), clear and touch up nail polish, nail file, anti-static spray/dryer sheets, mini lint roller. The travel section and dollar spot at Target can cover nearly all of these.

It’s a lot of things but it’ll fit in a tote bag and will come in handy when random, ridiculous little things happen.

Enjoy your next few days and early congrats!

a friend of mine had a destination wedding in Hawaii this year and left the cake stand at home! They ended up making one out of sticks and things that had washed up on the beach. Turned out cute.
