fl0werbee : I have been getting injectable fillers for years but my braces came off just in time for the wedding and they did some free tooth contouring and whitening at the ortho office. Other than that, I just got gel mani/pedi, legs waxed and eyelash extension touch up.

- Wedding: July 2017 - The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek
I’ve never been into this kind of stuff, so I think it would be inauthentic if I did a ton for my wedding. I’m planning to get contacts instead of wearing glasses (which I’ve only been wearing for the past couple of years and am still getting used to seeing on me). I plan to shave my legs and everything (not waxing), do my own makeup, and have my sister do my hair. I also am considering buying white strips (I started drinking coffee 2 or 3 years ago, and my teeth are a little stained), but I don’t know if I want to drop the $60 on those things.

I went to the doctors, which I had been avoiding for like 8 years…terrible me, to make sure that I would actually be alive in the foreseeable future. This included the dentist, so I got some deep cleaning and will fill in the cracks in my teeth from over-brushing (woops.)
I’m going to get my hair cut and colored, since I usually do that myself, so I thought I’d get something a little special. I’m going to get my nails done with my mom, sister, and niece the day before, and bridal henna on my hands and feet/legs.
I got contacts too, and I wish I had done that years ago. They’re awesome!
I also lost about 25 pounds since I’ve been engaged, after having lost about 30 pounds in the previous year and a half.
If I had more money, I’d probably get my teeth whitened professionally, but the gel at home is working pretty well. I’d also probably get facials, but I’m using skin care from The Body Shop religiously instead.

I got botox on my forehead 4 months before wedding and then month before the wedding. I am only 28 and have one very small wrinkle, but it was more for the preventative wrinkles and my plastic surgeon actually injects right at the arch of my eyebrow too to lift my eyes up. I seriously love botox!!!
Also did the normal stuff hair/mani/pedi but best thing I did was get my first brazilian wax! I have now gone every 4 weeks for 4 months and love it!
