My Sister is getting married next year. She and my Future Brother-In-Law just bought a house. They obvious want money as a gift. I plan on giving them a few hundred, but I also want to get them a gift. Something personal. Any ideas?
And what did you get for your siblings?

My sister recently got married and after the wedding she went back to India with her husband (where he lives).
We knew they didn’t want registry gifts so Fiance and I found out which hotel they were staying at on their honeymoon in Bangkok and prepaid for a couples massage, and also a champagne basket filled with goodies etc which was put in their room for when they got there.
They absolutely loved it!

My brother got married when I was in college, so money was definitely a limit! My sister and I bought some really nice quality sheets for them. Then I designed a shamrock/vine pattern to encircle their monogram and the two of us sewed it on to the flat sheet and pillowcases. They loved the personalization and handcraftedness of it.
For other close family members and best friends (now that I have a paycheck), I usually get a waterford crystal bowl. Not too many people register for one, but there’s an irish blessing that goes along with getting a crystal bowl. As long as the bowl is safe and secure, the family will have health, wealth and happiness.

For my brother’s wedding, I bought them a cake pan off their registry but then I bought him the new Pokémon game for his DS. I realize it was a ‘for him alone’ gift, but I did give them a couples gift too and I had given her a ‘for her alone’ gift at her shower. His voice was pretty lost in all that planning between her and my mom, and I wanted to do something special for my only sibling.
