My Mom got an OSU bracelet and she and my stepdad are getting a large OSU coin saving jar. Can you tell they are ridiculous OSU fans? lol.

Rappig:  I got my mom an Alex & Ani bracelet for Mother’s Day and she asked for another one, so I’m getting her one for Christmas. I’m giving my dad a homemade set of infused olive oils – I think I’ll do rosemary, chipotles and garlic (he’s a big cook). As a joint gift, we’re giving them a framed engagement photo and some homemade truffles. They’re both pretty hard to buy for (my mom’s picky and my dad just doesn’t ever want anything), but I think it’s all right up their alley.

Pretty!
Everyone’s getting gift baskets this year. I put them together myself, but we just don’t have the money or energy to do personalized stuff for everyone this year. Each couple gets a basket with 2 bottles of wine (or in some cases, 1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of infused olive oil), crackers, local cheese, local honey, dried fruit, and a big pepperoni link. I guess we did have to do some personalizing (my sister can’t drink, her husband doesn’t, and he is lactose intolerant, so instead of cheese and wine they got extra sausage and small batch root beer and ginger ale), but it was way easier and cheaper than agonizing over each individual gift.

I got my mom a heated blanket! I also plan to get her one of those daily calendars because I got her one last year and she loves it.

My dad asked for essentially a polo but althetic material haha… so he got one of those. I don’t know why he wants one.

Rappig:  My parents had to redo their kitchen due to a water leak, so for their brand new kitchen they are getting brand new dishes, serving trays, and glasses from all the kids. I got my mom a few seasons of a show she’s been dying to see and I got my dad a book and a watch.

Rappig:  My mom is horrendous to shop for. If it’s not EXACTLY what she had pictured, it’s horrible. Plus that’s only if she gives you some sort of hint. Last year, she talked on and on about how much she wanted a cast iron pan, they’re so cool, she wants to try them….for about 4-6 months leading into Christmas. So I got her a nice cast iron skillet and she was like wtf is this? Um…thanks I guess? I was so mad.

So this year she’s getting a gift certificate to her hair salon place. I don’t like giving money or gift cards but it’s the only option with her. *sigh*

My dad recently got into backpacking (he goes with my Fiance and it’s adorable) so I got him 2 pairs of nice wool hiking/backpacking socks, a backpacking water bottle, and two freeze dried meals….because last time he went backpacking, the man had tiny little water bottles, and a fishing pole. He assumed he’d catch fish for food….and caught no fish! I might get him a tiny toy fish to put in there too, lol.

Haven’t a clue what to get Future Mother-In-Law or Future Father-In-Law. I think Fiance suggested helping Future Father-In-Law with a strawberry patch for the garden, and I might get Future Mother-In-Law a theater gift certificate – I know she really likes going to the movies. I wish I could find her something neater. She’s really into art (she paints and it’s awesome!) but I have no cool ideas.

I got my dad a bunch of john deere signs (he’s a wannabee farmer). I got my mom a ceramic house for her village (she gets one every year) and a bracelet. As a shared gift they are getting an engagement picture in a nice frame.
