For some reason we are having the hardest time trying to figure out what to get for our parents. We have 3 sets to buy for, his mom and dad, my mom and step dad, and my dad and step mom.
We have come to the conclusion that they will receive a card from us with a pretty note inside saying they will get a photo album from us after the wedding, but we also want to have something small for them to open that night, as well.
What did/will you give to your parents as thank-you gifts? Do you have any other suggestions? Why is this so difficult!?

I was pondering the idea of a frame with a photo of Fiance and I as babies and then on the opposite side our invitation where they could later put our wedding photo!
Unfortunately Future Mother-In-Law beat me to it and got us that at my bridal shower! lol go figure

I have been looking for something similair. I am making them a coffee table book of wedding related (bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner pics) and wedding day pictures.
For the night before I have been considering getting the moms a small piece of jewelry (maybe a pin or earrings) and the dads cufflinks.
I am still not at all decided but those were just some things I was thinking about.

We also have three sets of parents and two sets of grandparents to give gifts to.
We are giving a wedding photo album to all the parents and grandparents after the wedding. We also got my parents a two night stay at a fancy resort they’ve been wanting to go to. They’ve helped soooo much with this wedding and have expressed that they wanted a small getaway afterwards

I hope lots of people reply to this thread because I think this is hard. Since our parents are paying for a lot of the wedding, I want to get them something special but not overly expensive. I like the idea of a coffee table book for the parents.
I think I might try to find a framed cute/sentimental quote and decorate it with quilling or paper cutting to make it special.

I’m leaning towards the idea of a gift certificate for the restaurant where we’re getting married, so each set of parents can visit later and have a nice, romantic dinner. Also, we’ll give them each a nice card and the promise of a small album or nice framed photo when we get our pics back.

We gave them a card on our wedding day thanking them for everything they have done and promising them a photo book of all their favorite wedding pictures. We are going to tailor it to each set of parents so that they get the pictures that are the most meaningful to them. As soon as we get the pro-pics we will get started on it! They are excited for them.

Those are all really really great ideas! i like the idea of giving the moms a pin or something small and the dads cufflinks or something similar. I’ll have to discuss that further with Fiance. We still owe our parents e-pics but I am afraid if we give them too many pictures of us they won’t know what to do with them all!
Thanks for the help! Keep the ideas coming!

@iheartnerds: Same idea here. I love giving a gift they’re going to use for more than one day.
