Looking for gift ideas for my bridesmaids.
Looking for gift ideas for my bridesmaids.
I gave mine their gifts the night before at the rehearsal dinner. They each got a personalized Tervis tumblr, a personalized necklace from an Etsy shop that makes jewelry based on classic books, a small stuffed animal of their favorite animal, and hair ties (also from Etsy) that were wrapped around a little piece of cardboard that said “Thanks for helping me tie the knot!”
This was in addition to paying for their dresses and HMU the day of the wedding.
Coming from a different perspective, since I’m not having BMs. I can tell you what my favorite gifts have been when I’ve been one though! I’ve gotten gift bags/baskets at the rehearsal dinner that have included:
itenerary for the wedding day, personalized hangers, a piece of jewelry to wear on the wedding day, monogrammed water bottle, monogrammed tote bag, supply kit for day (advil, bandaids, chapstick, mini champagne bottle, straw, mints).
That’s a combination of things, not necessarily all from one bride. Hope this helps!
I gave all my bm’s robes, earrings for the wedding day (but pretty enough to wear outside the wedding too!), shoe cloth bag, paid for their hair & makeup. I also gave an extra piece of gift just to my Maid/Matron of Honor – a ‘love’ bracelet from tiffany’s.
Examples one Bridesmaid or Best Man was obsessed with tea so I got her a really nice tea set, another a specific brand of shoes, another jewelry, another personalized stationery, another ‘party girl essentials’… and so on. Everyone seemed to appreciate it a lot, and most importantly, use it!
I also gave each Bridesmaid or Best Man a bracelet to wear day of and paid for everyone’s hair.
I’m having a hard time with this too! I want to get them their jewelry for the day of but I know a lot of people don’t consider that a gift so I’m also doing personalized champagne flutes for getting ready. I also want to do personalized tote bags, a pashmina, and I am trying to think of something else that is wedding unrelated. Not sure if your maids are like mine and all have totally different taste and style so i was trying to think of individual gifts too
I gave mine robes (not a gift since they were for pics), each a pretty tea/coffee cup, earrings (didn’t have to wear for wedding), some chocolate, and they each got a gift certificate to wherever they liked best. Ulta for one, a boutique for another, etc…that was their “big” gift.
Having been a bridesmaid, personally I don’t care for the personalized hangers or anything that screams bridesmaid.
I gave them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. I only had 2 in my bridal party.
keepsake wooden hangers to hang their dresses on that had their name and role and the date.
a romper to wear while getting ready
a Kate Spade Knot bracelet to wear the day of and has a keepsake. Our hashtag was #knottinghill so it felt fitting!
A bag of bath bombs
For my shower thank you gift I got them a little gift bag with a mini bottle of pink champagne, a thank you card, and a small candle.
On the night on my rehearsal dinner, I got them a canvas tote bag with their wedding jewelry, an additional personal piece of jewelry (one got a Kate Spade necklace, the other a Kate Spade bracelet), body butter, a scarf, and a mini perfume rollerball
My bridesmaids have told me they think most traditional bridesmaid gifts are a waste of money and that they would prefer nothing, or if I insist, cash. So I’ll pay for their hair and makeup and then get them something small and edible, like chocolate.
I paid for their hotel rooms, hair and makeup, earrings, and snacks day of! I also wrote them each a big note.
I’m doing the same as sbottoms – I am covering their hair and makeup, which is +$200. I havent decided on any jewelry yet.
I got a gift set from Bath and Body Works with the featured scent of “Beautiful Day,” with a card that thanked her for participating in my beautiful day.
