We (really I) adopted Bella about a year and half ago. She came with the name Jezebelle but I thought it was a little long so it became bella.

My dog is named Vanna White. She was named at the animal control center volunteer before being picked up by the dog rescue I volunteer for. The volunteer said they named her Vanna because she looked good in a sparkly collar, always had a smile on her face, has a very high pitched “meow” that sounds like a combo of vowels, and she’d make a great show dog.

Believe it or not, her best dog friend is named Bob Barker. Totally unplanned.

My first dog, we named Sally, as I had a toy dog named Sammy, if we got a boy dog we were going to call Sammy, but we got a girl so we called her Sally. The breeder had given her the name Rose so we kept her as a middle name. She was born in late 1996, we got her very early 1997. Our second dog we got when she was about 8 weeks old, in 2003. My sister named her, picked a name from a baby book they had at the store, she picked Molly, liked the lly, like Sally. Then we decided to stick with the flower middle name, so for her middle name we chose Violet. Sally passed away at the beginning of 2006. We got our youngest dog when she was a few weeks old in early 2007. Funnily enough she has the same birthday as Fiance. I named her Lady after Lady and the Tramp. And for her middle name I chose Bluebell 🙂

This is my Kodi when he was a baby- i wanted to name him with something that began with K or C (for Kitty or Cat) and i liked the way Kodi Cat sounded 🙂

This is Benji once again i wanted something that began with R or B for Bunny or Rabbit

This is Buddy- once again i wanted a name beginning with B and when i went to pick him up the first thing i said was ‘hey Buddy’ and it stuck.

I changed my cats’ names. My parents’ cat is Kilo, the cat I had with my ex is Echo, and my babies are Zulu and Tango. I like the phonetic alphabet.

None of them came with those names. I think Kilo was originally Wiley, Echo was Seraphina, and Tango and Zulu were Hank and Henry.

My cat’s name is Riley. She was Tori when my old roommate adopted her, but we didn’t think she looked like a Tori so my roommate picked Riley, although she usually tends to go by Cat or Boogers.  Then when we parted ways, my roommate was going to take her back to the shelter, and I said no freakin’ way I’ll take her instead.  And here we are.

Our cockatoo’s name is Bubba.  His old owner called him Bubbie, and that’s what he still calls himself, but Bubba seems a little less… Wimpy?  It still feels ridiculous to call a big white cockatoo Bubba.

I got my dog in 6th grade during Full Houses final season. My fam and I also have a favorite rollercoaster named the Comet. So because of the pup on FH and this rollercoaster, my dog was named Comet!

We named our rabbit Lily because in our backyard, the previous tenant grows day lilies.  Also we thought Lily was a girl but when puberty hit we found out he was a boy… but by that point we couldn’t think of him as anything but Lily.

Although, ever since getting hooked on Adventure Time, I’ve been wanting to rename him Gunther and Fiance wants to call him NEPTR.

    Awwwww!! Love seeing everyone’s babies!

My puppy (he’s 6 months) is named Indiana Jones after the movie character. I’ve LOVED that trilogy for as long as I can remember. I think it’s hilarious to have a dog named Indiana Jones because in the movie, that character loved the family dog Indiana so much that he assumed his name, and his dad (Sean Connery’s character) thought it was ridiculous and said, “We named the *dog* Indiana!” He is a lab mix.
