We don’t post our relationship status on FB.  I didn’t say anything for several weeks because I wanted to make sure I told everyone important to me first.  Eventually I did post a status update about it.  I definitely did not post a photo of my ring.

Due to the nature of my engagement, my close friends and family were already there, so no calls were necessary.

I changed my status on facebook to “engaged” and posted this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLnmJYI6FSE (Mumford & Sons – She Said Yes).

I always planned on posting that song as my announcement. I had no idea how accurate the lyrics were going to be (as the summer sun set in South Carolina you flew all the way to ask her father…)

Fiance posted a status that he had proposed and I said yes. We changed our relationship status to engaged later on.

For starters, we both already had our relationship status as “engaged”. . . it said that for 4 years because we were trying to get our exes off our backs.

I posted a status that said something along the lines of “Justin surprised me with dinner inside of Cinderella’s Castle for our 4 year anniversary and asked me to marry him and I said “YES!” We’re Engaged!!!” (We were in Disney World)

I also posted a picture of the ring that captioned “Couldn’t ask for anything more perfect”.

And since you can add “events” to your timeline I added “got engaged” and the date.

I remember my phone blowing up with facebook notifications for days afterwards. I loved it! =P

We were on vacation in Playa del Carmen when he proposed and moved to a resort in Cancun the day after so I posted “Goodbye Playa, hello Cancun….also, we’re engaged!!” with a pic of my ring and the beach/ocean in the background!

We didn’t announce officially till 2 weeks later (wanted to tell key people in person), so I think I just changed my relationship status and that sufficed… but I might have put something up.

We announced the same day as our engagement shoot, so I put up a new picture with it.

I didn’t post anything or make any changes on FB for a few months after our engagement. When I finally did I think I changed my status and posted a pic of the ring. Everyone who didn’t already know thought that I just started dating him and suddenly decided to get married a month from our wedding date

I don’t think tht I really posted anything. I changed my relationship status, and posted a pic of my ring with the caption saying “Je l’aime” (French for ‘I love him’)

I posted a picture of my fiance’s proposal:

I captioned it “In case you can’t read that, it says “will u marry me”. In case you’re wondering, I said yes!”

I had to make a few frantic phone calls and texts that night, though – my proposal happened at our annual pumpkin carving party, where about 20 of our friends were present, and one of mine got a little overzealous and put up the pumpkin picture and tagged me IMMEDIATELY after the proposal. I didn’t want my friends who weren’t there to find out via fb so i immediately started sending out frantic texts to make sure no one felt left out. I didn’t even think to post a picture of the ring until a couple days later, when my mom asked me to put one up 🙂

I swapped my relationship status and deleted the post so no one could comment on it.  I am so antisocial so I don’t know why I even had FB and then deleted it haha.
