I go back and forth on this. Sometimes I wish I had spent more on alterations, and had my dress drawn in at the waist to really show my figure better. Other times I wish that we had skipped the videographer, because I don’t see us going back and watching that often. I think the pictures were so good that the video wasn’t necessary. I also wish that I hadn’t fought back so hard on the decor for the venue. The decor didn’t cost that much, and it was important to my mom.
I’m not concrete on how I feel about any of the costs really, except for the fact that I loved the dress I picked, and I’m glad that I spend the $300 extra dollars over the budget I’d set for it. I loved my cake, and I’m glad that we picked the flavors and baker that we did. Finally, I love my husband, and I’m glad I picked him too!

I’m really glad we spent money to have live music during the pre-ceremony and ceremony. Overall it wasn’t that expensive ($300) but up until a month before the wedding, we were going to just do pre-recorded music. Thankfully I found an awesome husband-wife guitar duo who were available at the last minute. They were great and I was so happy they were there to set the mood.
I wish I had spent more money on my DOC or even paid for partial planning. I found the cheapest DOC, and unfortunately, I paid for what I got. She was too timid for my tastes and didn’t have the initiative to correct some issues as they were occurring. Example: one of my friends told me they were waiting in line a long time to get into the venue before the ceremony started. Once they got to the front of the line, she realized it was for the photo guest book we did. She said the DOC was just standing there. She could easily informed people that the line was for the guest book and told them they could come back later. There were a couple of other things like that that annoyed me.
