Sort of a spin-off thread…
I, like many girls had names picked out for my future children when I was a kid.
I liked: Colina Hope Grace and Robert.
I don’t even know where I got these names from…. especially Robert. I don’t know any Roberts… and I can’t stand the name now! Oh, and By The Way Colina Hope Grace would be her first name. IDK man, I was weird, and 10 years old. When I got pregnant I thought about these names and cringed lol!
Do you remember what names you used to like?

Elizabeth Hartley Rose!
Boy babies didn’t get much of a look in but I think it was going to be John, after my dad.
I still like Elizabeth, but the Hartley was a bit Mills & Boon.

I wanted to name my daughter Gwendolynn or Brandilynn. I was obsessed with “-lynn” names. I knew I was going to name my future son Matthew Michael because I had a crush on a kid named Matt all through elementary school and I liked the alliteration lol.

I had these triplet dolls when I was young that sat in this little carrier that would make sounds. There were 2 girl dolls and 1 boy doll in my set and their names were Charlotte, Hunter and Amelia. All of my dolls after that were also Charlotte, Amelia, Abby (Abigail) and Emily LOL. I thought of the name Hunter because that was the color of our couch haha
I still love all of those names but I know about 3 people that named their kids Charlotte in the past year alone so that strikes it out for me.

Gwyneth for a girl and Blake or Austin for a boy.
Nothing wrong with those names now but I’ve outgrown them! haha

Widow- for a girl. I was a bit of a gothic child!

I don’t think I considered boy names at all… lol! But I really liked the names Christine, Beth, and Wren (bit of an outlier with that last one). But when I got a bit older (like maybe 12-15), I really liked a lot of the now-trendy names, like Olivia, Sophia, Lily, etc, which makes sense, since it’s my generation naming these babies!

I always had girl names – no boy names. When I was a kid my doll were named: Sophia, Elizabeth, and Glenda. I still love Sophia, but it’s so popular now so I’ll never use it.

OMG Widow?! That is too funny!

When I was 8 I was dead set on the name Melody for a girl because I was obsessed with the movie Pokemon 2000 haha. I never thought about boy names because I’ve always wanted a little girl. Of course now I’d be happy with whatever I get, but I’m still hoping team pink when the time comes 🙂

Funny thing is a friends Girlfriend is now pregnant and he really likes that name! She’s said no way though which is probably a good thing! I have slightly more normal name choices now but not by much!
