I figure it’s time to start keeping my eyes open for a dress for rehersal dinner.
I noticed a lot of girls wearing a white dress for rehersal.
What are you wearing? (Or for the married girls, what did you wear?)
I’m thinking of wearing this dress that I already have. (We’re having a destination beach wedding, so turtles are fitting!)

VERY cute and appropriate for a beach wedding.

We are having a rehearsal dinner at my parents house the backyard laid back. I dont know what I’m going to wear yet, but hoping for a laid back sun dress or a flowy top and jeans.

This is my dress. It is actually a dark cream color and the under part is my wedding color. I love it!

I wore this dress (a bridesmaid dress, actually) in a short version…it was a little above the knee.
We had an “elegant southern barbecue” — real plates + silverware, but still served buffet style, and open seating. I think I was dressed more formally than most of our guests, but I loved the dress and figured I might as well stand out since it was *my* party 🙂
I decided not to do white because I didn’t want to worry about spilling drinks or food on myself, especially with red wine, saucy barbecue, and chocolate desserts! I picked the dress color to coordinate with the decorations and theme (wine and grape harvest — we were in September).
I think your dress is totally appropriate for a beach party — love the turtle pattern! But I’m also all for an excuse to go shopping for a new dress 😉

Cute dress with the turtles! I have friends who wore white and others who wore bright colors. I think it is totally up to you.

i’m wearing white, because i like standing out as the bride in white. it’s not normally a color i wear, so it’s kind of fun to wear it to all of my wedding events.

I wore a creamy color, but it wasn’t intentional, it was an amazing deal $45 at H&m

Here’s mine! It was hard to find something that would work during the winter, but I thought this fit the bill. I’ll be wearing black shoes, though.

@Nola:um, obsessed with the dress, it’s gorgeous! Where’d you get it?

i wish i had a picture! i have to go pick it up from alterations tomorrow.
a few months ago i was visiting my dress in my mothers closet and came across this amazing little black lace dress! she said my dad bought it for her right after she had my brother…24 years ago!. haha but i love it! its from victorias secret it has long lace sleeves that are see through…it originally came right to the knees but i had them hem it mid thigh (not too short i promise) it kind of looks like this but more conservative…the top of mine isnt see through – just the sleeves. and mine is longer and fitted, not skin tight
Not my dress: but you get the idea.

I wore this dress, but in solid navy blue with gold strappy wedges. Our Rehearsal Dinner was at Tommy Bahama’s restaurant on the patio. It wasn’t very “bridal”, but it was cute and light and I loved it!

@jenewitt : Thanks! I actually got it off etsy. It is a vintage dress so I am not sure where you could get another.
