I already got my fiance some really nice cufflinks he was looking at, and plan on giving them to him for Christmas (we’re getting married 3 weeks after Christmas), and we plan on writing each other a nice letter or card. Then I also really want to get him something cigar related as he loves a good cigar.

The gift I am planning on giving is kinda weird. I have this pillow that I carry with me all the time. It is about 22 years old and I am 23. My Fiance LOVES this pillow as well and I let him borrow it sometimes. We’ll have little cute arguements about who gets it for the night. When I travel without my FI, his only two requests are to leave food in the fridge and leave this pillow behind for him to use. Well, I went into Jo-ann to try to look for the fabric. I was thinking that it is polyester material or something. While I was there, I found the fabric. I was worried that I wasn’t able to because I have no idea what this pillow is made out of. Bridal linen was the fabric…the clerk asked what I was doing with it and said I was making a pillow. She gave me an odd look and didn’t ask anymore. The other present is I am going to take boudoir shoot and giving him a little black book.

We agreed not to spend a lot of money on gifts for each other, since we’re spending so much on the wedding and honeymoon. I found this idea on etsy.com – it’s a custom photo frame, 16″ square, with custom quote, names and date:

So I used a line from our first-dance song (“In the Colors” by Ben Harper) and I’m going to put a photo from our e-shoot in it. We’ll replace it with a wedding photo later. Here’s the comp I received from the artist:

I’ll be purchasing the Fiance new seats for his 1968 2002 BMW. As odd as it sounds i know its something he’s been wanting and will not purchase for himself because he is so commited to saving money to pay for our wedding.

I bought my fiance a Tag Heuer watch.  Kinda extravagant, but something he’s been coveting for quite some time.

We’re getting each other tattoos. I have a whole piece of work across my chest that needed touching up so he paid for that & I am getting him tattooed.

My fiance is a musician; not a professional, but he’s dinking around on one of his bass guitars any chance he gets – so I’m going to get him the bass guitar he’s been obsessing about for the last two years. I know that it’s something that will make him swell up with love (unlike the typical cufflinks or watch, which are great for some guys don’t get me wrong, he just wouldn’t want something like that).

I am so clueless about what to get my Fiance.  I want it to be something meaningful and special, but I honestly have NO idea what to get him.  Thankfully I have until June to figure it out!

We are going to write each other letters, and our Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man are going to deliver them to us before the ceremony.

I am getting a boudoir shoot done. I’m getting an album and then having it delivered to him the morning of the wedding. He will love it!

A ceramic or plastic monkey waiter to put by the Sweetheart table. He read something about this being a phenomenon in Japan and has joked about it for the wedding. It will be my tacky surprise.

I made a boudoir album for my Darling Husband and he LOVED it!  I wanted it to be something special and out of the ordinary. It was perfect.

I got him club level seats to the home opener of the Boston Bruins and dinner at a burger place that makes burgers basted in Guiness. 🙂 He was psyched. Honestly, most men really aren’t into sentimental gifts. I also got him the top hat he was going to wear in the wedding.

FWIW, neither am I. He got me a Day of the Dead Living Dead Doll I’ve been wanting, a huge evil Hello Kitty plush, and the Season 1 dvd set of Glee and a bunch of stuff on our honeymoon. And I was pretty psyched.
