(Closed) What did your catering/venue contract look like? Is this normal?

That is a little odd.  Ours was 6 pages of stuff that they will do, won’t do, are responsible for, aren’t responsible for, etc.

I def recommend getting wedding insurance, especially since they are so vague.  I would ask if there’s a second contract you’ll be asked to sign later when you pay the final bill.

I used Travelers.  It’s great because it covers any guests getting injured while at the wedding (usually the facility waives all liability) or any unforseen events (death, etc). The venue and other vendors are under no obligation to issue you a refund and probably wouldn’t.  Just a suggestion.
