I’ve accepted the fact I’m a terrible woman because I suck at painting my nails. I either mess it up before it dries or pick it off out of boredom. I probably won’t have pretty nails when he proposes, but i’d still love to see yours! Please share your proposal nails!

I knew mine was happening that day so I made sure I had my nails done before. I don’t have a photo on me atm since I am at work, but I had a nice wine/plum nail polish on with newly manicured hands, I was very happy 🙂

GypsieFlower: Well it certainly sounds beautiful! Haha

I don’t have a photo but they were awful. The tail ends of a Geleration mani in a dark wine shade. At least if people didn’t believe I had no idea it was going to happen I could show them my nails in the photos lol… “Does it LOOK like I was expecting it”??! Ha!

jwaka24: I didn’t have my nails polished when he proposed. I knew it was coming but wasn’t sure when it was going to happen. I work in the medical field, so even if I polished them, they would chip right away because I wash my hands so much. Because I was so happy when he proposed, I didn’t really care how my nails looked at the point.

jwaka24: Practice makes perfect, I used to suck at nails, but a few years ago I suddenly got in to doing them and now I’m pretty good at them. Proposal is coming at some point, but I have no idea. I tend to do my nails every week anyway, I actually find it relaxing, so hopefully they won’t be a mess when he does pop the question!

I am pretty lousy at doing my own nails too, one hand always comes out looking nice but when I try to paint with my non-dominant hand… yikes! I get them done at the salon every 2 weeks, and touch them up in between. I always bring my own nail polish so I have the exact polish to touch up my chips.
I actually got my nails done that morning. I had meant to go the night before, but I got out of work late and we had a Christmas party to go to. I was super sad because I was so excited for the Christmas nail polish I had gotten, so I made sure to go in the morning before we went to his mother’s house for Christmas Eve. I even took a hand shot THAT DAY at lunch because I was so happy with the color that I wanted to show my mom! After he proposed that night, he told me that he was so nervous that I was taking pictures of my hand and he thought I had known *lol*

I had my nails done with like a nudeish color!

I don’t have a picture because they aren’t on my current phone but my nails were painted with Orly – Oh Cabana Boy. I didn’t know the proposal was coming but just happened to have somewhat freshly painted nails. Also, I have no idea how I remember what color my nails were lol

I ALWAYS have my nails painted and of course I had to do it quick the night before and i had sheet marks in them! lol I should have known he’d do it on a day that my nails weren’t perfect. Luckily you couldn’t tell in the photos!

Mine were awful. I was a HUGE nail biter, but did have a couple fingernails grown out at the time. There was no polish on them.
I have a photo of how I showed people (we had a get together with family/friends that evening – which had already been planned prior to the engament) without showing my nails… but I look at it now and it’s very blurry.

My Darling Husband proposed at Christmas time, so I had red and gold nails, it worked out well! 🙂
I was pretty excited… lol.

shellac in “gotcha”. My Fiance knew how I wanted my nails to look nice at my engagement so he sent me for a manicure during my proposal scavenger hunt
