Just out of curiosity, what is something that you specifically did not want in your e-ring? It’s interesting to see the trends in peoples’ tastes.
I personally did not want channel-set stones or yellow gold. How about you all?
** also, post a picture of your ring if you want to share!

I didn’t want white metal (I only wanted yellow gold, or as I call it, gold) or any other gemstone but diamond. Those two things (diamond and gold) symbolize marriage to me.

At the time:
Channel set, gold of any colour, baguettes, square cut stones of any kind, sidestones, four prongs, cathedralling, trellising, peg head, pave
(i’m very picky about solitaires I’m aware)
I’ve seen rings on here with those that are beautiful don’t get me wrong, but what I wanted was different to that 🙂

@Anardana: wow that is very specific! But its good you knew what you wanted!
What is trellising and peg head?

I don’t want: white gold (I don’t want to have to get it replated) or a big basket/halo (I want the band to sit flush for comfort). Other than that, I’m pretty flexible.

Spiders. I did not want spiders in my ring.

@Jabberwocky: OMG me neither! Should have added that to the poll

@Jabberwocky: what’s a spider in a ring?

I didn’t want yellow gold, at ALL. I freaking hate it.
I also didn’t want a solitaire.. I didn’t want a gemstone – I just wanted diamonds.
I also wanted something that wasn’t trendy [3 stones, halos, pave].

I’m yet to get engaged, but the only condition I gave SO was no Yellow Gold, I get allergic reactions to it.

I didn’t want anything that wasn’t a round halo. I was also against yellow gold, channel set stones, a colored center stone, and cluster rings.

No gold. Yellow or otherwise. I ended up with palladium. Love it! 🙂

I didn’t want yellow gold.
I just wanted a brillant cut solitaire in white gold or platenium and thats what I got:)

@tippy22: Literal spiders. I always find them in the weirdest places.
The real things I didn’t want in a ring were anything I could easily damage, or anything that could easily damage me.
