I had “marry me today and everyday” in his, from the song Marry Me by Train, but it’s a good line even if not from lyrics

we made ours personal… He always says “love love love” to me, instead of “I love you” so he engraved that on my ring.  DH is french and has been trying to teach me french for years so we sometimes play “Je t’aime plus que…” and fill in the blanks (I love you more than….)  So i engraved “Je t’aime plus que…” on his.

i’d try and think of something uniquely personal to you both and engrave that

MrsBuesleBee:  He engraved mine, but we chose to not engrave his.  I’m the sentimental one in the family.  Mine says always on my mind, forever in my heart.  I loved the saying, but I never see it because it’s always on my finger haha.<br />

I’m thinking of having ‘Graih my Chree’ engraved in FH’s band.  It is Manx Gaelic for ‘love of my heart’.

my band is too slim for an inscription unfortunately

We didn’t get anything engraved on our wedding rings. But, DH did get the of our wedding date engraved on his back-up ring. And back-up ring, I mean in case he loses the other or we’re somewhere and he happens to misplace it – wasn’t as expensive.

Unfortunately, we didn’t think to engrave ours, but if we were to… I would want “How much?” in his and “All of it.” in mine.  I always ask him “how much do you love me?” and that is his response.  I have always loved it.  Sometimes we joke and say “Olive it” as well.

I don’t know what I’m going to engrave on my fiance’s ring either, but I have a funny story to share: he engraved my Engagement Ring with … my name. Just that. My first name. Every time I think about it I laugh because it makes me think “if found, return to…” LOL

We surprised eachother with engravings. I had his engraved to say “You are the L of my L  10.11.14”

L of my L= love of my life. i text him and say this to him often so it’s a bit of an inside sentiment

Caturner15:  The fact that she was his third wife makes that quote much less romantic to me. I guess the fact that he cheated on his second wife with her can make it more romantic for some people. I don’t know what Carl’s relationship with his second wife was before they separated and can’t make an accurate guess at what they were feeling, but still.

For four of those “twenty years” she references he was married to someone else. She has come out and said publicly that they fell in love four years before his second divorce. That context would bother me too much for it to be used in my wedding.

MrsBuesleBee:  a friend of mine had to change his wedding band because it was engraved, the engraving was scratching his finger and he had a severe reaction to it. I realise this does not happen to everyone, but it’s something to keep in mind if your husband has not worn an engraved band before.

My SO and I joke that the whole (us) is greater than the sum of the individual parts.  So ideally I would like to have 3 diamonds (2 smaller, 1 larger – but all fairly small) on the inside of his wedding band to symbolize that.

I want to put a surprise engraving in FI’s ring that says “its always been you”. Backstory: I’ve known Fiance my entire life, our families are old family friends but we didn’t start dating until I was 21. I was always in love with him growning up. Before we were even dating I would refer to him as the love of my life. No matter who I dated, I always had him at the back of my mind and I was blown away when I found out that he felt the same.
