I know I’m getting ripped off, I am just wondering how badly ๐
I have a small wedding, which makes prices inflated. On top of already inflated wedding prices and I think I am going to be sick.
I know a lot of ladies get discounts because of their bridal party, but I am not having one. As such, I am interested in what you paid for yourself.

@MrsPanda99: For hair, I paid $50. For makeup, I did my own, but spent just over $300 on products.

@JennaJay13: But at least you get to keep those products and use them again. That’s always a bonus! I’d do it myself if I could but I definitely can’t, lol.

My ladies didn’t use my hairstylist either and I paid $80 for the hair (two styles, my stylist stayed and re-did my hair for the reception). I did my own makeup but paid $120 at Sephore for material to do so!

I paid around $170 but I think it was $190 with lashes.
I didn’t get any discounts for my bridal party, I paid $100 each for their hair and makeup ($50 and $50).

@MrsPanda99: FI’s SIL does hair and makeup for weddings professionally. She charges $200 for hair and makeup, and that includes her traveling to the bride/bridal party.

@MrsPanda99: I received quotes for hair AND makeup for about $200-$300. I wound up doing my own makeup (I did buy a lot of new makeup, but I don’t really count that cost towards the wedding, since I have it until it runs out, and can wear it for a long time, but the cost was about $200 on new makeup), and paid $85 for my hair, including a $20 tip. ๐
ETA: you’d be surprised at what you can do with your own makeup!! I literally had zero clue WTF I was doing, but I watched a million YouTube videos, read beauty blogs, Pintrest, etc. and self taught! You just need to practice a few times! I had many people ask who did my makeup, they thought I paid big bucks for it! Not the case!

I paid close to $275, maybe 260ish. (i chose 275 poll) but that included hair, makeup, airbrush foundation, false lashes, and tip. This was in an on-strip hotel in las vegas. It also included a manicure I did not get because my nails were already done.

We are having the ceremony and reception on two separate days, so I’ll be doing hair and makeup twice.
Hair is $60 x 2 days = $120
Makeup is $55 x 2 days = $110
Equals = $230 = $115 per day.

I’m being overly generous and paying for hair and makeup for my bridal party, but I won’t include that.
My hair style will run $60 for an updo at my usual salon, and $120 for makeup. I hired a makeup artist to come on-site, and she does airbrush, so that is a big component in the high cost there. I also paid $80 for a makeup trial, but it was worth it to me since it erased all my doubts about trusting my face to someone else!
This is clearly why I don’t pay someone to do hair and makeup on a daily basis.

Well.. I’m going to do my own makeup and nails, and my hair will be < $150… I will just go to my regular salon.

@MrsPanda99: where abouts in canada do you live . If you are near a Caryl Baker Visage you could get your makeup done there for a minimum product purchase of $55.00 . So you get two for the price of one. It does not have to be makeup , it can be skin care, brushes or nail polish towards the price. I would recommend getting your lip colours though so you can reapply for pictures and stuff.

@MrsPanda99: Mine’s costing $525 inc the trial; so, quite a bit.
My mum’s is costing $225 without a trial; BMs are doing their own, but had we been getting theirs done we’d still be paying what we are.
