(Closed) What did/will your hair AND make-up cost?

My hair was $110 and makeup $125 on the day. Trial for makeup was $90 and hair for some reason was $160 (I think they reversed the prices.) NYC prices are pretty inflated and it was just me so no discount.)

@MrsPanda99:  Yup, I do unfortunately!

Cheapest I could have got decent hair and make-up for would have been around $300, and that would have involved me having to go to the salon. I have my hair taken up for special occasions and it costs about $80.

I am paying top whack though; but, she’s excellent so for me it’s (hopefully) going to be worth it.

@MrsPanda99:  Doing the “wedding weekend” (over one weekend with the ceremony on the evening of Saturday the 12th and the reception on the early afternoon of Sunday the 13th) is easier for me to handle due to autism related issues – and it lets things be spread out (and extra awesome) so it lasts longer and is more relaxing in the long run 🙂

@MrsPanda99:  yes that always will jack up the price . I dont know if every Visage does it but the two I know ( windsor and oshawa ) go to your house. You could call and ask. If they do they probably have different prices per location. But there are tons of Visages in T.O. Downfall is you probably wont get product but you could always ask about that too. http://www.carylbakervisage.com ( i think thats the site) Just look for your location.

@MrsPanda99: My wedding is small and I’m not having a bridal party either. 

Make up: $175 for my lash extensions the day before the wedding (they last up to 4 weeks). Once I have the lashes, I might be able to do my own make up and save the $80 for day-of make up, still up in the air on that one.

Hair: Major debate and the cost discrepancy is huge. I’m not sure if I’ll get my naturally kinky/curly hair styled which would be $110. Get my natural hair straightened for no reason because it’ll be a puff by the end of the night-that’s $120. Or get a weave/extensions for about $700 total (lasts up to 3 months).

So it ranges from $285-$955.

i think my hair was only around $50.  it wasn’t an updo or anything special.

i did my own makeup so that didn’t cost me anything.  i didn’t have to buy any new or special makeup, i used what i always use.

$200 and it included a trial for both hair and makeup.

I also paid for my 3 BM’s and my mom’s makeup and hair as well.

I think it was about $650 total

I’m a Maid/Matron of Honor in a few weeks and I will pay, I’m guessing $100+ for my hair and $50 for my makeup from Sephora, which I just have to spend on product. It’s a small party as well (second marriage, I’m the only BM) and I’m going in on my own, so no discounts 🙁 I’m in Toronto too.

$75 for hair and makeup trial, $80 for hair and $50 for makeup on the big day. The hotel where I’m getting married has a salon, so for the sake of convenience and because it’s in a pretty rural area, I’m getting it done there.

It’s a pretty upscale resort so I was pleasantly surprised by the prices. Oddly, their prices for nails are crazy ($35 mani, $45 for shellac, $55 pedi). No thanks, I’ll get them done in Boston before heading north!

My makeup trial is $75 and makeup for the day of is $150 (this includes her coming to the wedding site though). There were other, less expensive MUAs in the area, but I was really picky and went through a ton of photos and reviews before picking mine.

Hair I cannot comment on since my mother is a hairstylist and will be doing mine and my BM’s.
