1) Inviting close to 200, but most are out-of-towners, so hoping for somewhere around 125-130.

2) Atlanta, GA (downtown)

3) Probably somewhere around $30,000, if we’ve priced things correctly.

1.  28 in total

2.  Las Vegas (a hybrid of eloping but with family and close friends)

3.  Including airfare for my family, but excluding rings and honeymoon- $25,000

What a great thread, thanks for thinking of this.  It is great to see what it costs to have a wedding these days and the differences across the country!

A:  120 attended (170 invited)

B: Interior, British Columbia

C:  About $10,000, no honeymoon and not including my engagment ring.

I could have easily spent more than that, there were so many neat ideas out there I wanted to incorporate into the wedding. It’s hard to keep to a budget when you want everything to be the best.  Looking back now, I’m glad I didn’t spend more than what we did. It’s just one day and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

1.  126 invited, hoping for about 80….

My parents are paying for a little less than half and my mother is a florist so we are getting a GREAT deal on flowers.

1.  invited 600ish (gah! i know!), hoping for about 400 to show up.
2. Peoria, Illinois
3. about $8,000, too.   (parents paying for about half. also not including rings or honeymoon.)

We’re having Saturday morning brunch, a catering-friend do the food for us, a friend (who is getting her masters in photography) do the pictures for $1000.  I got a fabulous deal on my dress–a Mori Lee for only $200 (it was a discontinued style.)  Made our own invitations.  etc. etc. etc.!       🙂

1) 226 – seated dinner and we served filet mignon with grilled shrimp, grilled salmon w/ baked chicken, and broiled lobster tail!

2) San Francisco!!!  (Cathedral Church, and 4* Hotel in the heart of SF)

3)  58k

This includes everything from my gown, to our cathedral, the venue, our cable car (we rented a cable car instead of a limo), our photographer, videographer, rings – everything except our honeymoon, which we put about 11k aside for.  (2 weeks in Europe)

PS.  We saved and saved and saved once we started working and paid for everything ourselves!  I’m 26 and the hubby is 27.

  • Wedding: April 2007

1) 53 (10 kids)

2) Blacksburg VA (SW – in mtns) at a B&B

3) $9k

This does not include ring or honeymoon.  It also does not inlcude the price of lodging at the B&B, my mom paid for all the rooms for my family (4) and half the cost of the rooms for hubby’s fam (3).  Which was $3K for 3 nights.

Oh yeah – and my photography was free which helped!

  • Wedding: October 2008 - Ceremony in a historic church, tented lawn reception at a golf and country club

1) 120

2) metro Vancouver

3) 40k (including rings and 2 week honeymoon in luxury hotel in hawaii)

Our initial budget was 8k, but having the wedding in greater vancovuer still means metropolitan vancouver prices. :p Our biggest budget eaters are the reception, photography, my gown, and floral design.
