Wow, everyone is making me feel really bad about all of this because I’ve felt like I’ve been the best bargain shopper throughout this whole wedding planning process!

1. 150ish

2. Williamsburg, VA

3. $55,000 not including gifts, rings or honeymoon AND goccoing all my paper products myself!

If anyone’s interested, the running average so far is 144 people, just over $27,242.  The popularly reported national average for cost of weddings is $28,732.  Up to and including MissDolce (71 people).

I’m bored and I was curious

2.  Spring Lake, Michigan.

3.  Less than $5000.

Where do you girls get $50000?  That’s incredible.  [Not in a bad way, but I wish we were so lucky!  I bet your weddings were spectacular!]

What a great post, it’s amazing to see how much prices vary in different parts of the country!

1. ~200 people

2. White Plains, NY (about 30 minutes north of the city)

3. We’re going to come in just under 68k including honeymoon, all rings, rehearsal, etc, everything relating to the wedding. Eek!!! Oh well, it’s gonna be one hell of a party

1) 75-100

2) Just outside of Albany, NY

3) We’re still working on it but I’m aiming for under 15,000 (my parents seem to want to spend more, I would like to spend less)

We actually would have ended up spending a lot more had we stayed in my hometown, which has a racetrack and lots of tourists in the summer, which is when the wedding is. Instead, we saved quite a bit by moving everything about 40 minutes to the south.

  • Wedding: August 2008

1) 175 people

2) Just outside of St Paul MN

3) everything included – roughly $20,000.

We were hoping to stay closer to $15K but that didn’t really work out. We had the extra to work with so we didn’t drive ourself into debt.

  • Wedding: November 2008

1.) 150 people

2.) Charleston, SC

3.) $18,000+/-

Even though we live in a "top 10 wedding city", we were dead set on spending as little as we could but having exactly what we wanted. Long story short – we looked at lots of vendors and didnt settle.
