Did it turn out okay? Did you use it or trash it? How much did you have invested into it?
So far my invitations have been a major disappointment for me, but since I invested so much time, etc. into them, I’m just sending them out. Everyone we give them to likes them, they just are not what I had in mind. Oh well…learning experience, right?

For me it was our escort cards. I planned to just lay them out on the table. Then 4 days before the wedding my mom and aunt got talking about all the things we could do with them. I didn’t really care so I agreed to try a couple of their ideas. Hanging them from a tree, or putting slits in a piece of wood and slipping them in. They couldn’t get the logistics of things to work, adn then my mom started in on me about not handling things BEFORE three days prior to the wedding. We got into the biggest fight about it, because I was like… MY PLAN…. WAS TO JUST LAY THEM OUT! There was screaming and crying involved.
This is what we ended up with 🙂

My invites were SUPER frustrating to make because I had to keep cutting practice cards and printing over and over again. I also had to go through 5 different printers to get them to print correctly.
However, that frustration seems to pale in comparison to making tissue paper pomanders. I somehow got it in my head that I should make pomanders for the aisle and to hang from the ceiling of my reception tent. I also seemed to think that these tent pomanders should use 6 inch styrofoam balls so each ball takes approximately 1736275437645634 flowers. We’ve been working on them for DAYS and have 3.6 reception poms and 1 aisle pom. My family is never going to forgive me lol.
