Have you asked your family why they don’t like the first dress, or what about other dresses they like more?  Maybe if they prefer you have straps, you can add them, or if they think it is too plain, you can add a belt.

If you love it then get it. I am not really a fan of the other ones.

6 and 7 are my favorites. The others just don’t flatter your figure as much.

I do think your favorite gives you a tiny waist, but I think there is just too much tulle. If you love it, get it. Honestly!

I think you should buy what makes YOU happy. Enough said.

I like trumpets, but I wouldn’t dare wear a ballgown just because my family likes it better!!

P.S. I’m glad you said you want white/white. I saw the white/ivory and thought to myself, “why doesn’t the bottom match the top??”

I still prefer the silhouettes of 1, 6, or 7 on you. IMO the other styles just do not flatter your shape at all.

@DunnToBe1025:  Have you thought about removing a couple of layers of tulle to make it less poofy?  Can you go back to the store and try on the dress with the whole bridal regalia to see if they like it more?  If I’ve learned anything from Say Yes to the Dress, it’s that putting on a veil can change minds!

I think the Vera looks really great on you. Seriously. I think its super flattering and its a romantic dress. My second favorite is #6.

My dress is not popular with my family either. I feel like when I have my hair, makeup, jewelry etc that they will like it. I hope… πŸ™‚

You look great in the first one! Ballgown’s aren’t everyone’s taste but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t get it. Go for what you love!

I definitely think dresses with more fullness are more flattering on you. I don’t like any of the tighter fitting dresses that you have posted here. With that being said, I am usually not a fan of the Vera Wang for David’s Bridal ballgown you posted as #1. I have seen it a lot, and usually I just don’t find it very flattering on the person wearing it. However, I think it looks really great on you. I agree with you that it gives you a really nice figure, and I think it enhances your upper body and torso and makes you look very slim. I would definitely make sure to press the dress perfectly before the wedding so that the tulle lays really nicely and doesn’t look messy.

While I think the dress with the pink sash is actually the most flattering, I just think it’s a little too precious. It doesn’t look “adult” to me the way a wedding dress should. Maybe if you changed out the bow, or changed the sash color….

Either way, I hope that you make the decision that you are truly happy with, and not necessarily the decision your family may pressure you to make. You need to feel good in the dress, and I hope you choose the one that ultimately makes you the happiest.
