I really want this band to play my wedding. My Aunt and Uncle offered to pay and they are a Latin band who does DJ and MC as well. They are charging 1K for pretty much the entire reception. Well the last few times I have tried to contact them, either I get no response back… or when I do, we set up a time to call but they never call.
I was pretty much done with them and going to start looking elsewhere. Well the guy just texted me: “Hello it’s (name) sorry we’ve been playing phone tag u wana talk tomorrow? I’ve kept that date clear in case”
What should I do? I just don’t want to experience these issues after we book them!

@Artificial-Sweetener: It’s not simply “phone tag” when you schedule a telephone conference and they don’t follow through. Take this as a sign and move on. I know it’s wedding season and they’re probably busy but they need to also be simultaneously booking future dates, and clearly they’re not good on the client communication side of business. What if this happened a few days or weeks before your wedding? I promise you, you would be freaking out and wishing you’d gone elsewhere when you had the chance.

@Artificial-Sweetener: I agree I wouldn’t risk it. I don’t know, but “professionals” who use slang in their business messages, even texts, don’t deserve my business. I’ve found it is generally a good indicator of how professional they will really be.
