Sigh, I’m back with another question! Second fitting today. I have bought two different options to add to my dress – a gorgeous sparkly brooch, and a champagne sash. The sash hasn’t arrived yet, so I borrowed the ones off my flowergirls dresses for an indication 🙂 My actual sash is a little more mushroomy, and a bit wider.
Ignore all my stupid, often bitchy-looking, faces haha it was a long day…. Also, the bottom photo was a different fitting, which is why it looks diff 🙂 I had my hair an d makeup done, and jewellery on, for the first few.
Option 1: Dress with brooch under bust:
Option 2: With sash
Option 3: Sash with brooch attached
Final option: Dress with nothing added

I like it with the sash and brooch. It really shows off your waist and adds just enough bling. The dress though fancy has no bling, and this really makes the whole dress pop.

I like it best with nothing. Between the ruffles both top and bottom, adding anything more is overkill. Let the dress shine on its own.

I like it with just the brooch.

Love it with Both!!! However, I do like it with out also.

Honestly, I’m just not loving your dress with a sash at all. I feel like it cuts you in half, if that makes any sense. I love the dress just the way it is! (You look beautiful in that dress, by the way!)

@pengoala: +1 I prefer it without too! Runner-up would be sash with brooch if you definitely want a belt, it does accentuate your waist.

Nothing! It’s just my opinion of course, so take it with a grain of salt…BUT, I just hate to watch brides add things to their already gorgeous dresses! I think understated beauty is the best kind. Plus – with all those gorgeous ruffles, your dress is anything but plain!
Also, I’m really not sure sashes work with corset backs. But once again, just my lowly opinion!

your dress is lovely. i like it on it’s own- or with the brooch. I don’t think the sash does much for the dress actually, however the brooch does add a nice touch of sparkle!

Just the brooch- no sash!

I really like the brooch or nothing. I do not understand why anyone would wear a sash because it creates a horizontal line and draws the eye to the sash, therefore always making a person’s waist look bigger than it is (I could see if someone was wearing a really loose dress and needed to tighten it with a sash or belt, but wedding dresses aren’t loose). Plus, with your particular dress, I don’t think it would look good at all from the back to have a sash across that corseted back. The dress is extremely flattering on your body and has enough of that wow factor just from the way the bodice comes down over your hips and then flares out with the ruffles, that you will look stunning without adding a thing! If you really want to add something, though, I would just add the brooch.

I like the sash and brooch!

All of your options are good but I think that the sash with brooch wins for me.
Your dress is beautiful 🙂

@MissSapphire: I like the brooch under the bust. I normally don’t like this placement, but it works really well with the style of your dress. It adds just a little sparkle, which is nice. I’m not a fan of the sash with this particular dress.
You look awesome, by the way!

I went with the brooch under the bust and it looks amazing 🙂 16 days to go!
