So I am recently married and I am wondering what other married bee’s do with their spouse on weekends.
A lot of friends are getting pregnant so these friends will be a lot less available once their kids are born. Also, DH and I have friends that already have children so make plans with these friends is difficult.
DH and I do not plan on having children and are looking to see what other couples do during their free time…..

We clean, watch netflix (with wine,) go jogging, go to movies, go to the mall, cook. Sometimes something as simple as going to the grocery store and picking out our meals for the week is really fun. Sleeping in counts too! Visiting family when we have the time. Sometimes we will do something we dont normally do like rent a kayak for the day. Would love to see what others do.

Housework, shopping, weekends away, movies, cooking, walks, and our own interests.
The best weekends involve lying in bed until early afternoon together. That genuinely is a huge, huge part of the reason for not having kids – we like our free time to be OURS.

For us, the answer is always video games.

We hang out with friends, some with kids some without. We take little trips. We enjoy nightlife, and so we partake in that, we work out/ hike/ we always looking around to try new things, so we try out any culutral things going around the city. We love live music so we go check out jazz or local bands.
I would check if you have a local website or even a tourism one becuase you will find out what kind of cool festivals and or cultrual things going on around you.

we aren’t married but we live together…we also watch a lot of netflix and we have a farm so we spend a lot of time outside working together. I just love spending time together-regardless of what we are doing!

Sleeping in is the best! Not married yet, but no kids either… We watch a lot of movies, we cook together, do ‘date night’ – usually simple things like going for a walk in the park or my favorite, just wandering around the big bookstore and getting Starbucks 🙂 i also paint while he reads or cooks or watches football… We’re extremely laid back and love just hanging out after a busy week.

@californiabride2013: we plan on having kids at some point. I hope to start TTC end of next year.
But, while we are wothout children, on the weekends we will wake up, have a nice breakfast, clean, do whatever shopping we need to do. Go to the movies, sometimes if we see deals on living social or groupon we will do so e sort of an excursion, then there are days where we nust bum it out lol abd there are some weekends where we go to his parentd vacation home in Pennslyvania. We always have something to do

Um, I mean, normal stuff… Hang out with friends, run errands, visit family, go on overnight trips, go to the movies, watch sports, clean the house, do laundry. Pretty much the same things I did when I was single, but it’s way more fun because my husband is there.

@californiabride2013: Not married yet but not planning on having kids either. We watch movies and series, we clean, we go out (and if we had a backyard we would probably take car of the garden), we visit family, we cook meals and have romantic dinners with wine every weekend. We sleep until late in the morning. We do not like to go in public places on weekends because there are too many people and too many children. If we have groceries to do or shopping we prefer to go on evenings, and same with cinema, we go on less popular days (mondays or tuesdays).

I’m not married yet, but we live together and keep busy on weekends. We both like to cook, garden/yard work when its nice, gym on crappy weather days like today so that we get in a workout and don’t get stir crazy. We watch netflix/prime but work more on projects in the home. This weekend was getting the tree in and up. On Sundays I always spend part of the day cleaning so that I can be lazy during the week (organize recycling, wash all the floors, laundry…the stuff I don’t want to do later). I usually throw something in the crock pot but today I’ll be making soup with the leftover turkey.

We have friends come over with kids too. One has good allergies and we like cooking for them and making something we know they can have that might be a bit different for us. We have family over a lot too.

We sleep in, cook together, go out to eat and drink a lot, go to the movies, go shopping, clean, work out. We also do a lot of traveling. I guess a better question is, what DON’T we do!
