Maybe they are trying to say that they think it’s small but who cares what they think.  It’s perfect for you and your Fiance and that’s what matters not someone’s backhanded compliment.

i like dainty.  i say it when it’s very princess-like… lol, is the band of your ring thin?  or maybe your finger is thin and your ring isn’t overpowering it.

I don’t think its negative at all. I know alot of time people call rings dainty when their band on the e-ring is thinner. Like 2mm or smaller. Mine is considered dainty. 🙂

I think it’s meant as a compliment…

Dainty usually means elegant and princess-y.

By your avatar photo, you look like a thin, petite girl, so I’m sure your ring finger is “dainty,” thus your ring is going to be dainty.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. 🙂

I like dainty…. Whatever the “sayer” is meaning it really doesn’t matter… for me dainty always makes me think of really girly & sweet.

When I think of dainty I think of delicate and feminine. I consider my set dainty b/c they both have thin bands…but my diamond is a 3ct. brilliant cut. I would take it as a compliment:)

Dainty was what I was looking for in a ring. I consider it to mean “delicate and pretty.” I have a 2mm knife-edge band (so it looks really thin) with a half carat princess cut diamond and I’ve been searching for an equally dainty wedding band. I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all.

That ring is gorgeous. I’d take dainty as a compliment. I don’t think your fingers look large at all. I thought 7 was average.

Haha I wear a 4 and that’s really tiny. They make most of the sample rings a 6 or 7 because that’s average. Your fingers aren’t big, your friends just have little fingers. There’s been a few polls on here about ring size.

I would say delicate and small.  But your ring does not look dainty to me.  Its gorgeous!!!
