my FH and i have a friend singing the lord’s prayer towards the beginning of the ceremony…she’s not a bridesmaid and i feel bad making her stand up there for the rest of the ceremony…
i haven’t been to a wedding in a few years and the last one i went to had readings and songs by people in the bridal party….so i’m wondering, what does she do/where does she go after she finishes singing?

have a seat reserved for her near the front and on the aisle. she can sit when she’s finished.

thanks…yeah we just started writing the ceremony so we will include "and now N will come up to sing blah blah blah" and then she can return to her seat once she’s done…

The readers/singers at the weddings I’ve been to recently, have just gotten up from their seat, did their thing, and then just went back to their seat. Make sure she’s on the aisle like lauracare mentioned and in one of the first few rows so it will be easier for her to get there. But yeah, no reason for her to stay up there the whole time.
