I just picked my dress up, all of the alterations are done. I had planned to wear a shrug for part of the evening (probably the reception) or maybe the whole wedding depending on the temperature since we’re getting married 9/22. We’re having an intimate 45-50 guest wedding in a back yard of a house we’re renting.
Everyone where I got the alterations said how much they liked it without the cardigan but the more I look at these photos, the more I love the cardigan look. Just for fun, what do you bees think?

*DISCLAIMER: This photo is pretty dark but the shoes and the shrug are both eggplant colored. (Our wedding colors are eggplant and light green)

Hmmmm the cardi is cute but I think it’s a little distracting an takes away from you and the dress. You look amazing in that dress w/o the cardigan and have great shoulders to pull off that neckline! I say flaunt them! But you can still wear the cardi for part of the night to get some pics in it!

I love it with the cardi! I wore a bolero for part of my reception but it was too hot to wear it for my ceremony or for long at the reception. I loved my “look” and I got a ton of compliments on it!

I like the cardigan. Maybe wear it before or after the ceremony and go chic and bare shouldered during the ceremony?

I do like it with the bolero…but perhaps a lace one instead? There are very lovely lace ones in different color on Etsy, Dressilyme and lightinthebox~ 😀

I voted without, but I could really go either way! Why not do both? Without for a while, then with when it’s cooler out. 🙂

I don’t like *that* shrug, but maybe one that is more dressed up? It’s too casual.

love the look, but the material seems a bit heavy–I agree that a lighter lace bolero would achieve the same look and make it even better!

I like the shrug. If I ever get my wedding photos back, I can show you how mine turned out. Just make sure you get some photos with it and some without!
